Dollar - rent a car at airport

I rented a car from Dollar and to my surprise along the bottom it says it has free shuttle service back and forth to your resort.

so when did this happen?

has DME hurt the car rental so much - that they now have to offer free shuttle?

Wow its on mine too! Wonder if the go to all of the WDW hotels? Wonder what the schedule is??

I just rented from Dollar for next week and will ask, but whats the point of renting a car if there is free shuttle?

for not staying onsite, grocery shopping, going to other WDW resorts, going outlet shopping, US/IOA, SW, etc....

if you just want transportation back and forth to WDW then go with DME.

I'm still confused. Are you suggesting only renting a car for 1 day or so, do the shopping and then bring the car back to the Dollar, and then Dollar will bring you back to your resort? We are doing something like that with National or Alamo for our December trip, but those are on site rentals.

I know, thats what I dont get. I didn't mean why would you ever renta car, I meant if you rent a car for all these reasons-what good is a free shuttle?-you have a car.

the free shuttle at Dollar has only takes you back and forth the car rental.

now for people staying on Disney property or anywhere can rent from Dollar - their shuttle will take you back and forth to your hotel, resort, motel, timeshares, house.

sorry I didn't see this before now.

if you are staying on Disney property you don't need a car at all. DME is the way to go.

I'm renting in Dec at Gosvners across from DTD I wonder if they have a shuttle.

No big deal as I will just walk from DTD across the street but hey a ride would be nice.
