Dollar procedures?

Hi,
I reserved a mini van with Dollar and I have to pick it up at MidwayAirport in Chicago.

Do I get to choose my own van or is it pre-assigned? I've never
picked up a car at an airport before.

Will I have to stand in line or is there a quicker way to get in and
out? I saw on Dollar.com something about Fastlane however the
page is down where you sign up. I was thinking that I might be able to sign up over the phone if it's to my advantage to join Fastlane? Does anyone know what joining Fastlane will help with?

Last question: I know that the van is shown as a seven passenger however has anyone ever been able to get a van that's a little larger? The more real estate between kids the better!!!

Is there an extra charge or will you be able to get one if it's available?

It will be preassigned. You will have to stand in line. Even with the Fastlane you have to stand in a line. Fastlane keeps all your information, makes the process a bit faster.

I don't rent vans or SUV's so, I cannot answer that question. That would be a Dollar question you can ask via their toll free number.

we had several vans reserved for easter and they were 7 passangers from dollar, dollar does not have chevy astros, 8 passangers. well worth filling out for fastlane on the internet. all you give is your cc, drivers lic. ,any coupons. 5 mins.we were driving off. have fun!
