Dollar Fastlane

We joined Fastlane and made an online ressie but don't know the procedure is at the airport now. We're hoping for a quick easy pick up/drop off. Can anyone tell me what to do when we get to the rental area??

I did the same thing (did you get your free upgrade coupon in with your Fastlane id?) and I called Dollar to ask how it works. They said the rental agreement will be ready when you get to the counter and that there is a separate line for Fastlane people. You may need to call Dollar and make sure that your reservation and your Fastlane number are linked.

We were e-mailed our profile # and there was no mention of an upgrade coupon. Will that come in the mail with the card?? I already made the reservation though so we probably can't use it this time. It would be nice since we chose an economy- Daewoo???- since it was cheap and there's only 2 of us. I guess we would only jump to a Dodge Neon which isn't much bigger. Oh well we're only paying $22.99 per day so who can complain?!

When I arrived at MCO and was standing at the Dollar Lane at midnight last November, I remember being very tired and very ANNOYED at the people in the FastLane line because they were getting through so quickly. This year, I plan to BE one of the annoying people.

If I remember correctly, you can't use the coupon to upgrade an economy car, you must already have a compact at least. Last March I got our car before the regular line holding 12 or so folks even moved and before the rest of my party could collect the luggage.

Fastlane is THE way to go with Dollar! We've been members for years and it's SO quick. Be sure you get in the Fastlane line at the counter. Usually, when we get up to the counter, the next available agent comes right over to us. Since your paperwork is already done, it's just a matter of signing the papers and getting your keys. In just a few minutes you are on your way! Just remember that if you rent again in the future, that whatever details you typed into the agreement (size of car, insurance info, etc) remain the same unless you change it. You need to check on this info EVERY time you reserve a car so that you are sure you're getting what you need.

I looked at the coupon and the upgrade is good for a one-class upgrade from compact or intermediate only. It came in the mail with my Fastlane ID card. It is good until 12/14/02.
