Hi,

Could anyone please help?

We have got our hire through US Rentacar and we have registered with Dollar Express. US Rentacar said they will link our number to our Dollar booking.

What do we do at the airport when we come to collect our car in Orlando, do we go straight to the car park or do we still go to the desk in the terminal? And what paperwork will we need to show?

Thank you for your help!

:confused3

The last time we went they had an express lane at the desk inside the terminal where you had to go. Not sure if this has changed.

You will need your voucher from US Rent a Car to show once you get there.

(Your booking will show on your Dollar account if you log into it)

Hi Lee

You'll still need to go to the Dollar desk, as Sam says they have a priority desk for Express customers. Generally speaking you will most likely be on the 'B' side of the terminal, and unless dollar have re-fitted their queue system the express lane was the last one on the left - it's always the one without a queue, and be prepared for odd looks from the hoards waiting impatiently in line. also be prepared for brilliant service :goodvibes:

You'll need your rental agreement, and will have to show your driver's licence, and they may also ask for a credit card to put on their system.

When was the last time either of you used Dollar at MCO? must be a while since.
You go direct to the garage kiosk, they removed the Express line if I remember correctly Spring 2010, it was around the same time they changed to you choosing your own car instead of being allocated but I am almost certain they had removed the Express lane for our Easter 2010 trip.

Personally I don't link my Express card to my booking after a Dollar agent told me it was a waste of time a few years back, I just show my card with my Docs.

We rented with Dollar last year from Tampa airport and went direct to the garage kiosk too.

I went with Hertz last time - so sorry for any mis-advice ;)

Perhaps you could post back and update all of us!!

In Oct 2011 we rented with dollar from US rentacar.

DH is a dollar express club member and usrentacar added this to the reservation.

I also filled in pre registration online with dollar - dollar.com/Preregistration.

We went straight to the kiosk in the garage at MCO - lovely car on VIP hold for us. Took 5 mins if that to get car.

Have booked again with USrentacar for this year - hoping as smooth again.

Thank you all for the information, I go in August so post then to let everyone know how it goes

Thanks again!!

Sorry to be 'jumping in' on this post but can I get some clarification please.:wave2:

There is a desk in the terminal at MCO for Dollar but if you have the express membership you go straight to the garage?

Everytime I think I have it straight in my head - it changes :confused3

Yes the Dollar desk is inside the terminal, they used to have a line at the end saying Express members but we used to get abuse form th eregular renters, I remember one rental th elady at the front of the line shouted out "I have been stood hear over 1 hour, he has just walked in" the agent who called me over shouted back to her "anyone can join Express free"
Now they have removed that line and we totally bypass the desk and go straight out to the kiosk in the garage.

I added a couple of links in this sticky thread http://www.disboards.com/showthread.php?t=1740814
Near the end under "Transportation and Maps"

Is that the same as you have tried?

I wouldn't worry about it too much, last time I did pre-reg I had a bit of hassle, wouldn't accept my licence number at the kiosk, the agent took almost 15 mins to sort it out but he said it was because something didn't 100% match the info I had entered into the Pre-reg site. If I had just trurned up without doing it I would have been on my way in less than 5 mins. Not sure if I will even bother this year.

Thats what i've tried, thanks.

Think I'll take your advice and skip the pre reg and just make our way to the kiosk instead of the express line -from what you've said that seems the best way to do it.

Thanks again
