How does Dollar Express work? :confused3
I have noticed it mentioned by some posters. I have booked my holiday with VH so can I still use this?

Me too!

I would like to know the difference between the Express & Pre-Registration

Yes you can use it, i did this year and was booked through Virgin

Yes you can use it, whoever you book with.
Just go to the dollar.com website and sign up for dollar express.
When you get your membership number, you can pre register.
They will send you a card through the post.
When you arrive at MCO - go straight to the Express queue and you will get dealt with straight away.

Except that as more peple sign up to it- just to get acceptable service- so the number in the line will increase and the speed go down !!

Can I ask, did you use the virgin/dollar desk with the card, or the normal dollar desk, also how do you link the virgin car to the dollar express account.

I am not going untill december, last time I used dollar with virgin there was a seperate desk and no line. This time I have signed up for the card but am unsure what desk I need to use now!

DISWolves was infront of me in the Express line 4 weeks ago. He went to the desk and they told him he had to go to Virgin Desk, they could not deal with him there as he booked with VH. I was just flight only so no problem.
Hopefully he will post and let us know how he went on.

Sorry to hijack but just registering now, do the options on the insurance preferences etc change your booking in any way?

I assume not but thought it best to ask.

Cheers, Andy

I used the Dollar express desk its separate from the Dollar desk and Virgin desk, was on my way to the Virgin Dollar desk, and as i was walking down noticed the normal Dollar desk ,on the right with an extremely long queue, and right beside it was Dollar Express sign with 1 person getting a car. I walked up showed my Virgin Voucher and Dollar express card and all took about 7 mins. and there was no problem with who i booked with.

Virgin Holidays have a seperate Dollar rental desk, which faces Dollar / Dollar Express desks. There is a pre-registration desk, where if you show your Dollar Express card, you are guided to a seperate line, and then dealt with the next available Dollar rep. The normal Virgin Dollar line had about 10 people waiting.

Thanks Wayne for tipping me off about the Dollae Express :thumbsup2

Ah, thats good, I thought they had sent you over to the regular Virgin line. So you can use Express at both sides. Even 10 people can be a longish wait so it saved you some time.:goodvibes

Great, so I just go to the virgin desk and show them my card and voucher!

I have the same question.

Just a word of warning, i arrived on the 21st aug came over on vs27, i used dollar express and yea great service and very quick, but i used the dollar direct, unlike the virgin dollar counter where the Q was a mile long..... one quick tip re child seats, dollar chagre $9 a day plus tax 4 a child seat, we ended up hiring child seat 4 a day, then hit walmart and bought 2 childseats , ended up saving $75 dollars over the 12 days....:thumbsup2

You probably saved money anyway but when we rented with Alamo, a child seat was around $9 per day but capped at $49 so it's not quite as scary a price as it sounds.
