Dollar car any opinions and experiences with this company?

We have never rented from this company and would appreciate help. Have read that you have to have a reciept that you have bought gas within 10 miles of where you are returing the car.

I used them on my trip last month. No problems.

I filled up the car near Walt Disney World and was credited for a full tank. They never asked for any kind of gas receipt.

We have rented from them the last 2 times and we have never been asked for a receipt. We are also renting from them on our December trip. Join the dollar fast lane its free and they have a seperate line for the members so that you do not have to wait in line as long. You also get a coupon for a free upgrade when you sign up. Hope this helps

I have used Dollar as much as all the other on airport agencies put together. Good prices (if you surf for codes) and good service. As tmeyer said, join the Fast Lane to cut down on line time.

I have also never been asked for a gas receipt although I gas up pretty close to drop off. From 417 I go south on Boggy Creek Rd about a mile or so. There is a convienence store with gas. Then back to the north on Boggy Creek right into the airport.

clean vehicles, good service, cheap rates (try with/without codes) and the line at the check in is always shorter than the other major renters

I just came back from Orlando today. I rented a compact car from Dollar for a week. I used Fastlane and was able to walk right up past 10 other people in line. I was disappointed that I was not able to use my free upgrade. They were fully booked and did not have any extras to use for upgrades. Returned the car with no wait at all today. The Dollar employee even insisted on unloading my bags from the trunk.

Use CD number OL5040 and the rates are AWESOME....some dates in December are already selling out since this rate was given out.

There have been questions about the code needing an ID at pickup...but it's a travel agent code for Central Florida that ANYONE and EVERYONE can use.

They're as good as anyone else at the airport, based on my exposure.

I've used Dollar many times. Rates using the discount codes are usually the best. I've never been asked for a receipt. I joined FastLane years ago and it speeds up the process so it's a relatively quick in-and-out.
