Dole whips

What are these? I've been hearing a lot about this "must have" item. Also, about the Mickey Bars, I heard they are spectacular, are they truly better that a normal ice cream bar? Remember, I've never been

My kids like to get a Dole Whip at the Aloha Isle in Adventureland- MK. Here's what it says at the restuarant section of the DIS-

"Behind white shuttered windows is the famous Dole Whip soft serve ice cream. This is the only location where this pineapple flavored treat can be found. In addition to the Dole Whips, chocolate and vanilla soft serve ice cream is offered. The pineapple and chocolate flavors can be swirled with vanilla. You can also get pineapple, coke or root beer floats."

Also, I'm not sure that the Mickey bars truly taste any better- but they are shaped like Mickey and you're eating them at DW so it can't be too bad!

The Mickey bars are Hagen Daaz ice cream covered in Dove chocolate, so yes, they are that good.

yes it is called a Citrus Swirl and they have them at the Sunshine Tree Terrace ... there is also a strawberry varitey at Enchated Grove near the teacups in FL.




Dole whips are so darn good because it is sooo HOT and they are really refreshing and cool you down.

Also anything shaped like Mickey tastes better.

Mmmmmmmmmm ... Dole Whip! Those pineapple floats are REALLY refreshing. Good stuff.

And, although I limited myself to one Mickey bar our last trip to the parks, they're good enough (or at least unique enough) that it was almost a nightly ritual on our Disney Cruise to have room service bring all 4 of us Mickey bars at about 10 pm ... they brought them under the metal dome on a big platter and everything!

The thing about Mickey bars that is so great is the chocolate coating - it is extra thick and rich! Dole whips are fabulous - so creamy and sweet! It's not a Disney trip without at least one Dole whip!

I agree with the post that anything Mickey shaped tastes better-plus, if you are eating a Mickey bar, you MUST be in WDW (or DL/Disney Cruise etc) so everything tastes better anyway.

Hi!

My hubby has us addicted to the dole whips! Once you finish the creamy, fruity, pineapple cream on top, you then can enjoy the refreshing pineapple juice on the bottom!

The Dole Whip Floats are my favorite!! Pineapple juice with the pineapple soft serve.

There is really nothing better than eating a Mickey bar and watching a parade. *sigh* EVERYTHING tastes better when you're in Disney!!
