Just to clarify, Dole Whips are not non-dairy. They are lactose free but they do contain the milk protein casein. This is an important distinction for vegans or for those with food allergies.
Yes maybe I should have worded it differently instead of just saying "considered non-dairy".
I guess saying Lactose Free is a better description.
I was going by Unified Enterprises, which also sells Dole Whip, and they use the term Non Dairy. I guess its a government labeling thing like it does contain a small amount of oil but is still called Fat Free.
The one thing you can't call it is Ice Cream.
