Dole Whip vs. Dole Whip Float

What's the difference between the two?

Somone recently posted a picture of a "Dole Whip", however it looked like a float (had the pineapple juice in the container). So, when people refer to Dole Whips, is it the floats they really mean? Or are they the same thing? . Which are better, the dole whip or the float? I've never had either before, so I have no idea.

I'm not sure if there is a difference. I would think that the Dole Whip is just the pineapple ice cream and the Float is the one with the juice.

Now I just tried one of these, Dole Whip Float with juice at the bottom, and let me tell you they are DELICIOUS!!!! Even my 3 young dd's loved it. Now I understand what everyone here raves about. Can't wait to get another or 2 or 3 in November.

You have to try it if you like pineapple. My dh wouldn't touch it because he doesn't like pineapple.

I love the float so much more than the dole whip. We were there for thirteen days and I didn't even get one though. We had 18 snack credits left on our last evening at MK and there was no room in my stomach. I couldn't believe I never got one. We did have the dole whip at the Poly one afternoon. It was good but not the same.

Supposedly the floats are better. Personally, I thought my Dole Whip float would be great if they took the bland pineapple soft serve out of my tasty juice.

Dole whips are the pineapple soft serve.

Dole Whip floats are the same thing, but it is sitting in pineapple juice.

I personally prefer the floats....I LOVE pineapple and pineapple juice, so having the Dole Whip sitting in pineapple juice is a real treat for me.

We bring Capt. Morgan Tatoo rum into the park in our DS sippy cup. I keep this one in my bag not in the stroller.

Add some rum into either the float or whip and yummy

Sure can! I think the Dole Whip is $2.89 & the float $3.99, which qualifies it for a snack credit.

The citrus swirl and the strawberry swirl only come like that, I think. Only the pineapple dole whip is available as a float.

I kept hearing about these Dole whips before our 1st trip back in August of 2002. SO I made sure I tried one, and I was hooked. I had one every time I was in the MK. The floats are even better though. My Dh is not too fond of pineapple and he liked it. I love picking one up and siyying in the little covered "dining room", relaxing and people watching. You can hear the Jungle Cruise boat captains, the screams of the kids on Aladdins Maic Carpet, and a faint strain of "in the tiki, tiki, tiki room".......that's one of my favorite spots in WDW.
