Doing the Wave and seeing MK fireworks

As part of the July trip, I am treating my mom (for a 3/4 to a century Dinner at The Wave inside the contemporary due to tastes (not wanting a character meal) and price. I hear that you can see MK Fireworks from the terrace after dinner there. How early should I do dinner and still see (at this point) the 10 PM fireworks? Do they fill up with ADR's at this point?

The observation deck at the CR is on the 4th floor. The observation deck is large but some of the view can be cut by the monorail track. The area to get a good view is relatively small and the best spots can be taken quickly. I would plan to be up there from The Wave about 20 or so minutes before Wishes. I guess I would try for an 8 oclock reservation for a 10 pm show.
