Hey Gang has anybody tried renting a motorhome and taking it to the pin event... Any pluses or minuses out there.

Will they let you keep it in the parking lot, or will you have to move it to the camp grounds?

Any Info will be greatly appreciated.

I don't think that they allow you to stay overnight in the parking lots. My guess would be you would have to go to the campground. Not sure it will be needed for the Aug event. It would have been nice for the other events though. The Aug event is 4 days long and the way the pins are going to be handed out you won't need to be there at 10 the night before.

'...the way the pins will be handed out...'? What have I missed? No all-nighters? No standing in line? No sleeping on cold concrete? Where's the fun without all that? No pain, no gain, right?

You can't camp in the "park" parking lots or in the resort lots. If you need a place to stay and can't get into Fort Wilderness, try Tropical Palms on 192. Large sites, nice pool and very convenient to WDW.

Tropical Palms is also very nice... We stayed there for a night on our trip 2 years ago.
