Doing the Cheapskate Dance!

Just have to share with folks that understand what it really means to save some $$ at Disney. We're staying 4 nights at ASM. Got a postcard rate of $59, and used some credit card points and transferred them to a gift card to pay some of the balance. So, our grand total hotel cost is around $180!! Whoohooo! I got my flight using points, too, so we're only paying for 3 direct flights instead of 4. We're using old tix from 2004 for DH and I, and I used an ebay gift certifcate to buy some free kids meal coupons at Rainforest.

We leave May 1st, and I'm still hunting for some bargains

The postcard is mailed to specific people and can only be used by the person to whom it was sent (they're in the system). There is no way (that I know of) th ensure you'll get on "the list".

What a steal!! Just when you think you have saved all the money you can there's still ways to save. I am so jealous! But this proves that with a little extra effort and planning a grerat vacation can be very affordable & fun. Great job! Love all the money saving tips we can find!!

there is a thread on these boards about it -- go to the Ghirardelli's site to sign up --- make sure to spell it correctly -- some folks leave out the second "r"-- make sure to sign up fewer than 30 days before your trip because the coupon expires 30 days after they e-mail it to you.
