Does anyone do their laundry mid-trip? We will be away for 9 days - I think a new set of clothes for each day would mean way too much luggage.

If you have, where?

I haven't, but for convience, I would try booking a hotel with a laundry area, or a service?

Yes. I plan on it. I stay at Desert Inn and they have a laundry room

I did at the DLH (we stayed there). They have a decent sized laundry room, but the washers are a bit small.

One tip I have - if you have any sample sized detergents in little foil packages, pack those. I had a couple and packed them. Then you don't have to buy any, and the packaging takes up very little room. Oh - and bring quarters! I suspect most places have change machines, but I always have bad luck with those.

We are in California for 2 weeks. The first few days we are in West Hollywood and then we go to Anaheim. We usually do laundry in West Hollywood at the laundrymat across the street.
I have seen people doing the laundry at the Hojo.

Definitely do laundry to cut down on your luggage if you want. I always do.

I usually do laundry during our afternoon break. At DLH, it's super convenient b/c it's right next to the gym & pools. I pop my laundry in, go work out & it's time to pop it into the dryer.

Bring sample size detergent & a dryer sheet to save on the cost.

We always do laundry wherever we go, with kids, you need a new change of clothese every day, sometimes more than once! :D

BWPPI has a couple of washers and dryers - like the others said, bring your own detergent, it's a lot cheaper!

We did laundry at the Tropicana in July last year. They washers don't hold much and they have 3 washers but only 2 dryers......people went in after me and took MY clothes out of the dryers so they could use them!! I thought that was highly rude.

I suggest taking your own detergent (they charge a lot for it when you get there), softener sheets and quarters. I had a hard time finding someplace to give me the quarters I needed.

I have done :laundy: while staying at the DLH before. They had a limited number of washers so I had to get up very early but it was worth it to not have to pack as much. :thumbsup2

Heads up when we stayed at the PP in Sept of 05 they didn't have a laundry room, we had to go over to the DLH, which is a pain. For what we paid for PP I really wish they would have had a laundry room.

I always plan a laundry day when we vacation, I never pack enough clothes they take up to much souviner room!

Last time we went for a week we did :laundy: we stayed at the best western stolvalls and they had it on site!.... its easier then bringing tons of stuff... plus as someone said then you have more room to bring stuff home :cool1:

What about laundry at Grand Californian? We will be an Disney a week and then going on cruise. I was worried about packing too much too!

I read recently that there is a laundry room there. If I'd know that while at PP I would have tried to sneak in there rather than send my nice hubby over to DLH to wash clothes. :)

We did laundry at the CCI 2x when we stayed there. We were away from home approx 16 days so it was necessary. Their laundry room was clean & we did it during breaks from the park so it wasn't very busy either.
Oh & yes I totally agree! Bring your own detergent & dryer sheets for sure! Great advise!

We stay at the Desert Inn too. We are usually there about 10 days so we always have to do laundry. If anyone is interested I found a place online that sells detergent samples. I am now stocked up for several trips! Check it out:
