Does anyone elses family think you're crazy for wanting to do laundry on a 10 day trip to the world? Mine thinks I'm nuts!:laundy:

Anyway, it looks on the resort map like the laundry facilities are a little out of the way at BC. Does anyone know if they really are closer to everything than it looks?

I can answer your 1st question: yes, some in my family think I'm nuts to do laundry on our long visits to WDW. It really doesn't take any time since I do it during a break at the pool. It keeps us from having so much to do when we get back home. We can pack a little lighter for the trip. Some clothes get really soiled and/or wet and its better to wash these sooner than later....:cool1:

the laundry at the BC is RIGHT next to the quite pool near the volleyball court{sorta) I always like to go home with clean clothes!!! so I take one day near the end go to the pool and do my laundry! there is never anyone over there at all(at least when I have been there);)

We do laundry every 3 days when we are there. We stay 12-14 days and always change clothes after our afternoon break and would need 20 suitcases of clothes when we traveled. I take books I enjoy and do laundry while the family is in the pool or otherwise occupied and it gives me a little break to just sit down and relax. I call it my "vacation therapy" and actually look forward to it! Plan to do what is easiest for you. Also, like others said, the facilities are not that far away. It's pretty easy to get there from most anywhere in the resort.

Well, with 2 little ones on a "messy" trip like disney, yeah I do laundry when I can. It's bad enough that they get their own clothes messed up, but they get me all dirty too. And with the airline restrictions on suitcase weight we are ultra paranoid of overpacking (not to mention the need for souvenir room).

We had a room near the beach pool/lobby and yes it is for sure a walk!!!
It was so far that my DH said he didn't want me to go that far and to stay that long by myself so he did the laundry at the BC instead of me. Heres to GREAT DH's who care and worry about us DW and DC!!:cool1:

For any trip more than 3 - 4 days, I always do laundry. Have to pack a lot less clothes that way.

As someone else said, BC laundry facilities are right by the BC quiet pool - not out of the way or a long walk at all.

I hate doing laundry too while on vacation but what can you do. We spend 2 weeks and it's myself, DH and 2 teenage boys and there is no way I am packing for 2 weeks for 4 people and then bringing all that home and spending days doing the laundry at home. I'd rather pack light and bring a week's worth of clothes and then wash them and start over. I usually do the laundry every 3 or 4 days, depending on hot it is and how fast we go through the clothes.

I just wish the Swan would get their own laundry room because I have to walk over to the Dolphin and the clothes are pretty heavy. I do put the dirty clothes in my suitcase with the wheels so that does help bringing it over.
