Doing DL Solo

I've introduced myself on here a couple of times before but I'm moving to Santa Barbara this summer and plan on visiting Disneyland A LOT! I like wandering around alone but was wondering if DL goers do Solo group meets like they do at WDW? I know that some 21+ers at WDW do drinks around the monorail and didn't know if anybody meets at DTD places or anything. I just thought I'd ask because it would be neat to know.

I'm not sure, since I'm new to the DisBoards (and my first trip in 6 years was last month-but now I'm hooked)! As I said in another thread, I live in SB myself. I'd love to meet up at Disneyland with similar-aged people!

I know that our moderator Mary Jo has a current thread about "meet" threads, so they do happen!

Other than that, unless something has changed, there are Sunday at noon meets for the other disney fan site micechat. They are possibly a bit more, um, intense than most people on the dis (or mouseplanet), though there are also many of us who are members on all three (I'm hobbitfeet on those other sites), but I know that they do tend to have drinks on those Sundays, along with riding some rides!

Don't forget, too, that over labor Day weekend, we are having an OFFICIAL DIS Unplugged podcast meet in conjunction with the 5K and Half Marathon. A lot of us from the Special Correspondent Squad (along with some of the 1st string team) are walking in the 5K.

We'd love for you to join us and we have a thread on the DIS Unplugged Podcast Forum for those who want to shout out that they will be there!
