Is it at all realistic to think we can do Disney for $2000.00.

Family of 4. 2 adults and 2 kids. Driving from MASS so no flight cost.
6days/5nights (would love to add a day)
**no park hopper or water park**

Now is it possible to do a disney trip with gas, tickets, dining, hotel, random snacks and food, souvenears and hotel for the travel down and back for 2000.00 or am I just being completely unrealistic. Would I not have fun if I am trying to stick to a low budget???

:confused3:confused3

We are going down during free dining again this year for 9 days.
Staying at POP Century
10 day MYW base ticket
2 adults 1 child and a infant for 1675.00 cs plan.
We are flying for 800.00 out of Portland maine for 4 seats. so yeah I think you can do it.

When are you going? Are you going during free dining? We are staying 9 nights for $1700 at CBR with one day tickets (we have AP's).

eta:I don't know how I did, but I missed Op's above post...duhhh.

we are hoping for August 14-20 possibly maybe the 21st...but I dont think we can add an extra day and still stay under 2000.00.

We have the money to spend more...but I am very frugal...and want to get the most for my money...

It comes to 1368.00 for POP with 5 day Base Park tickets

Free dinning starts on the 15th so you couldnt check in till than.. if you want the free dinning.. unless you do 2 reservations and dont start your package till the 15th

I think you can do it as long as you dont go overboard with extras. Pick the kids some disney stuff up and pack it before you go for "souveneirs". I would just have credits cards or back up cash incase of an emergency.

I think after 5 days, the park tickets only charge around $7 to add another day! If you get the larger CS meals and share some, you can stretch out your dining savings.

We will be there the same time!:cool1:

Gas - $225 each way (1300 miles at 20mpg at $3.50/gallon)
Hotel there & back - $160 ($65/night room + tax)

So you've got $710 to get there and home, not counting food on the road.

That would leave you with $1290 for the actual WDW stay.

5 night base tickets would run about $900 for 2 adults and 2 kids, leaving you with just under $400 to sleep, eat, and play for the rest of the trip.

Doesn't seem very workable, and certainly not fun, to my way of seeing things.

Keep in mind that adding days on to your tickets will only cost you $3 per day per person. If you are getting free dining, you are basically only adding on whatever your hotel costs plus $12 for your family for tickets per day. In addition you need to consider whatever you will tip for your table service meal. Really, adding on an extra day or two is pretty cheap.

I just want to know if I am trying to cram Disney into such a small dollar amount...or if its possible and we can still have a good time. KWIM

If staying at a Value Resort during free dining it is the counter service dining plan that you get for free. So no tips are necessary.

OP I say go for adding the extra day.
