Doing 2 ADRs for a large party to ensure getting an ADR (BOG specifically)...

Hello!

I am hoping to return to BOG for a dinner and am pretty flexible on dates. We will be a party of 7 which seems to be causing me trouble with success.

For the last two mornings, I have only had luck getting a 9:05pm ADR after trying for about 5 minutes at the 6am window. No dice for my family. (I assume that there might have been a chance for earlier times. But those were quickly taken as everyone is trying at the same time.)

I have considered making an ADR by splitting us up and making two, but prior attempts using my personal MDE account have been unsuccessful even though the people are select are different on both ADRs. So there is no double dipping, but the system behaves like I am.

Certainly waiting until 7am and dealing with the phone system is a possible solution, but my assumption is that the likelihood of finding a close enough ADR are slim.

Is there a way to accomplish this on-line with one MDE account or would another member of my party need to use their account to make that 2nd ADR for the rest of the party to get it to work?

TIA!

You'd need two MDE accounts. The other thing to be aware of is that if you make one reservation for 4 and one for 3, you may be seated just like that, potentially in completely different areas of the restaurant.

Try searching for 8 in addition to 7. With 7, they'll be seating you at an 8-top, but often the system loads more even-numbered reservations than odd.

Not only are you competing with everyone else for the same night, but you're competing with Disney guests who have already made their reservations. For example, I made reservations on Friday for the 12th to 19th - someone staying offsite won't have the 19th available to them until this Friday, I believe. It can make it tough!! (If you're staying onsite, make sure you're logged in, you'll get your checkin day plus ten more days available to you!)

I also had problems with this. I had a party of 8 and the only way we could make a reservation for BOG was to split it between 6 and 2.

I understand we may be split. But some of my kids do want to eat there again, so only eating with a few isn't doable.

I shall try the split option with my hisband's a count.

Thank you!

I don't think you'll have to worry about being seated separately even if you have to make the reservations that way. I had the mirror image of that situation - I called for my ADRs for 12 people and asked the CM if I should split us up to get better choices of times - she told me no, just make the reservation for my total and any decision about exactly how they'd assemble our tables would be made at the restaurant day-of. I imagine the flip side is true - Even if you have the right number of people in multiple smaller parties scheduled to be there at the same time, the particular seating can be decided on arrival.
