Got my DL documents yesterday, officially pulled out the suitcase and will begin to organize everything over the weekend. I want to travel as light as possible, so I'm going to be trying to just stick with the basics. Yahoo!

Only a couple more weeks! :teeth:

ETA: The luggage tags are absolutely adorable with Tinker Bell blowing pixie dust kisses! There's also a silouette of the SB Castle with the 50 across it!

You Lucky Puppy. I alway pack light.I can pack a 4 day trip in a med size gym bag. My mom on the other hand took 12 pairs of shoes for a 4 day trip years ago.(go figure). Now food, soda and beer is another story. :thumbsup2

How exciting! Have a great trip, we will be there right after you!!

We get there the morning after you leave! Where are you staying? We are one night at the Tropicana and then 2 nights at the Grand. Hope it's not too crowded, we went last year the first week of June and it was still not too bad!

I am going to DL on Friday for one day and spending the rest of the weekend in Hollywood.

I'm staying at the HoJo. I have heard really good things about the Tropicana and it makes me wish I would have chosen there instead. A lot closer and it's supposed to be really nice too! Matterhorn, let me know how the Grand is. Boy, if I could have afforded it this time, I would have definitely gone for something like that. I also have a WDW trip planned for November, so I had to go a little "low budget" for DL. But, with the money I saved at HoJo, I was able to get some Fantasmic! tickets.

Spazzy, have fun on your one day. I know you go to DL a lot. What's your favorite thing to do while you're there?

Oh my goodness! oh my goodness! My favorite thing.... let's see.
Thunder Mountain, The Matterhorn, and Space Mountain, Star Tours, Peter Pan, Haunted Mansion basically everything. I love love love Disneyland. It is nice big stress reliever for me. My annual passes are the best investment I have made. I am only six hours away or a 40 minute flight. I love to people watch. Especially watching the kids that you just have a feeling that it is there first time going there. Oh and the food! We eat like there is no tomorrow. We eat a big ol breakfast at Millies across the street but we fill up at the park with popcorn, corn dogs, dole whips, bengal bbq, frozen bananas and whatever else looks good that we can't get at home.

This is my first time at the Tropicana, we usually end up at the Desert Inn or the HoJo. The Grand is awesome, we stayed there Christmas of 2004 and it was great! We stay other places and at DLH and PP but everytime we head back to our room at night, I say "Boy I wish we were staying here this time, we'd already be back in our room"

We have three little ones, 5, 3 and 7 months, so being close is important because it's too hard to fold up the stuff and use shuttles. And DH usually doesn't go, I go with a friend that also has three little ones, so then it's even more important!!

Have a great time, the HoJo is great too, my kids LOVE the pool there!

Congratulations on all your upcoming trips! I was just there yesterday (Sunday) and I was surprised on how busy it was. Still, the lines were bearable, nothing over 45 minutes. Remember to use fast passes as much as possible and just try to relax and enjoy the parks. When the park gets busy it seems so hectic, but try not to let it affect you too much and you should be able to have a fun, enjoyable and relatively calm time.
If you want a good bite to eat, try the Carnation Cafe on Main Street (next to the Blue Ribbon Bakery) It is a sit down restaurant (outside seating) and they have kid friendly meals like mac and cheese and hot dogs.
Enjoy, Enjoy, Enjoy your upcoming trips!!
