Doin it in Style @ The Poly! September 2010 Here we Come!!!

Wow I can't believe all those characters together! You are right that would be one great picture:goodvibes

Nice update. Your room looks like ours does by the end of vacation. :rolleyes1

You should dress up for MNSSHP. I can never find anything that I won't roast in since it is so dang hot when we go.:confused3

Lol, I hate packing and unpacking. I make such a mess

I defo will thinking about dressing up. I did get a costume for the first trip, DF was going as Capn' Jack and I was going to be a Pirate Princess, but my costume was not the best and most prob would have irritated me all night.

Well next time I see them like that I am so in line, I didn't know at the time but thats a rare photo opportunity and one should always grab it.

I've NEVER seen them all together like that! Even Micky and Pluto together seems rare to me. :thumbsup2

Loved your recaps of your first trip! That last pic with your DF in his poncho and the ransacked room is priceless! :rotfl: I must remember to take a pic of our room when we're packing up to go home at the end of our next trip - I'm sure it will look much the same! :goodvibes

Well keep your eyes peeled for your trip this year, maybe you will get lucky :goodvibes

:rotfl: I know, he looks so cute bless him.

Yeah, we should start a thread, what does your room look like on the last night/day of your trip

Hello all :goodvibes

So I have something to share, another small sneaky purchase over the weekend, I don't know where it came from. Its not from a Disney brand, but when I saw it I just had to have it, as you will see why :rolleyes1

How cool is it :cool1:

Ok, lets get on to some planning :surfweb:

I think we are only going to shop once whilst here. DF can get all his stuff in one hit and believe me he gets a good haul.

Me, I am more picky and tend to go for the more expensive stuff.

On the first trip we went to Orlando Premium Outlets, again DF did v well. Me not so much.

The second trip we went to Mall at Millenia and Prime Outlets. DF didn't get anything in MaM, I did get some bits that I was after, namely Baby Phat jeans which I love love love :lovestruc and my first pair of Uggs from The Walking Co.

Prime Outlets was good, again DF got most of his stuff here and I got a couple of wristlets from Coach.

This year we are not sure where to go. I have decided that I am not too fussed about shopping  Shock horror I know and for those that know me would be asking if I am feeling alright. So we are thinking about going back to Orlando Premium Outlets (as it is v close) and maybe trying Florida Mall. Mainly for me as if I were to get anything I would love to get another pair of Uggs, some more Baby Phat jeans and possibly a new Juicy tracksuit (oh so comfy).

Also, does anyone know where you can get Rock and Republic jeans in Orlando? I have been wanting the Victoria Beckham Crown ones since they came out a few years ago and they are just so expensive over here, but really cheap in the US.

Anywho, back to the matter at hand. Do you think Florida Mall is worth a trip? How far is it from Disney?

We were thinking about going back to Premium and MaM, but it was an expensive cab ride and we have tried to see if there is a route between each that we can walk, but I don't think its on the safe side.

Your help/advice is much appreciated ::grouphug:

Thanx :goodvibes I also got a tee for DF, but it was a Pokemon one (he is now going to kill me when he sees this post).

It's retro, cool and not obvious to everyone that it's pokemon! At least it's only a pixelated icon and not hundreds of pokemon plastered all over it :P

I love the shirt!!!!!!!!! So cute! :thumbsup2

We went to the Florida Mall a couple of years back. I didn't think it was worth the trip personally but they did have an M&M store and I have a friend who is really into that so I got her a bunch of stuff for Christmas there.

I love the Coach store at the outlet mall. DH got me a laptop bag from there last trip. :lovestruc

I wish I knew where you could find your jeans but I don't know where the other malls are. I'm sure that there are a ton of them but I have no idea where. :confused3

Thanx, I instantly had to get it when I spotted it online.

Thats cool, we have a rough idea, I just wanted to see what you guys do if you tear yourself away from Disney for a shopping day.

Another shopping related question, when I went to the Juciy Outlet at Prime I found it to be quite blah with what they had. What are the prices like in a normal store? Do they still have good sales? For me either way is good, as the normal RRP over in the US is still alot cheaper compared to ours over here.

Morning All :)

So I thought I would post about preparing clothing wise etc for when we go on holiday.

For me, its another excuse to go shopping. But there are some essentials you need to get and you have to keep it fresh as well :rolleyes1

I have some shorts I bought from last year that I want to take over with me and I got those t shirts too that I have been buying recently.

I also like to take tank tops too.

Normally when I go somewhere hot, shoe wise, I tend to get ballet pumps or trainers (not keen on sandals). This year I had an idea to combine mini fitness with fashion. I got to thinking that we do soooooo much walking when we go to Disney, why not get these:

1.
ShapeUps.jpg

2.
ShapeUpsMaryJanes.jpg

3.
ShapeUpsPink.jpg

They are called Shape Ups from Skechers and they are designed to tone as you walk and also improve your posture too.

Not a bad idea right?

Now they are a bit pricey over here so I figure I should just get one pair, also because they are designed to tone etc, I am sure there will be a bit of an afterburn when you have walked around all day in them, so I won't want to wear them all the time.

Now the dilema is, which ones do I get. I love them all (of course). Normally I am not a mix and match kinda girl, but I do want to take into consideration that two of them are dark shades and may not go with everything I wear. Or am I being silly because at the end of the day they are trainers and not high heels.

No. 1 I like because it looks simple and classic.

No. 2 I also like because its in a Mary Jane style and looks quite holiday-ish.

No. 3 I like too because I love how there is a splash of pink in there to give it a bit of pizazz.

What do you guys think?

Eeep :scared1: Time to go to work.

Sees ya later

I would go with number 2 because I believe it would match everything and it won't get as dirty as the white:thumbsup2

I say go for number 3. I like the little splash of pink:goodvibes
If you get these I want to hear a report about the "toning as you walk" thing. When I first saw these advertised DH and I chuckled at the idea so I want to hear if they really are different than normal shoes in their "toning" ability.

hi, joining the pre-trip report...

your holiday sounds like an actual dream!!! have never stayed onsite at disney but this is bf's first trip so hoping he loves it and we can make it to a disney hotel in the next couple of years!

your photos are really lovely...

if you managed kraken you would definitely be able to cope with ToT!!!

Loved the face painting, will definitely be partaking if I see any in AK!

Would you mind me asking where you got the 'are you taking the mickey' t shirt as dbf is similar in that isn't too fussed on the idea of disney shorts but know he'd love that one...

p.s have you tried asos and yogoego.com they have really cute disney couture tops, with the latter having better prices...i'm hoping for a couple for valentine's day!!!:lovestruc

Also, does anyone know where you can get Rock and Republic jeans in Orlando? I have been wanting the Victoria Beckham Crown ones since they came out a few years ago and they are just so expensive over here, but really cheap in the US.

We love VB!! And I love shopping, so I'm thrilled to respond to this one! Okay, so I've gotten a few pairs of her Rock and Republic jeans from a store called Century 21 for super cheap. I got them probably a year or year and a half ago - at the time, they had tons of pairs and cost around $40. There's a big Century 21 in NYC and another one at a mall near my house, so I think they've been branching out. Not sure if they've made it to Florida yet, though. I also saw the jeans at Bloomingdale's and I think at Saks - if they still have them at those stores, they'd be considerably more expensive, but they may have some old ones on sale. If you go to an outlet mall in Orlando, go into Saks Off Fifth and Nordstrom Off the Rack if they have those stores - those are two outlet shops that I think are likely to carry her jeans. Also check both of those for your Juicy track suits. I've always gotten mine at Saks Off Fifth (or on a really good sale at Neiman Marcus). I haven't gotten any in a while, but I bet Saks Off Fifth still carries them and has good prices.

Do you mean the blue with the pink, as No. 2 is the Mary Janes.

They are cute aren't they :)

I was the same as you at first, over here there is a more expensive version called MBT's and they were the first of their kind before Skechers and other sports brands caught on.

My friend had MBT's and she used to walk to work from home when it was nice weather (she lived at least a mile away) and she said that they worked for her.

Will let you know if they do work, watch out for our TR on our return :)

:welcome: nice to have you on board :goodvibes

When are you going to visit WDW?

The face painting was fun, I remember now I went on Kali after that and was worried that it would rub off or smudge, but it stayed on pretty well :thumbsup2

I got the Mickey top from New Look online.

I have seen Disney Couture on Asos, but I think it is waaaaay overpriced for a tshirt TBH.

Just checked out Century 21 and it doesn't look like they have made it down to Florida yet.

I will defo check out Saks and Neiman's in the outlets. If we do go to MaM or FM will check out Bloomies too.

Thanx for the tips, v helpful :)

Ok so tell me if I am being too much, but I want to get a tiara to wear in the parks (mostly MK). I got the idea from the lovely UncleOrville ladies :goodvibes

So, which tiara do you think is cool:

I also thought that I could wear it on the second MNSSHP, if we do a second one.
