Doggie daycare

Has anyone ever tried this? I was in the PetSmart by work today and noticed they had one of these. The dogs looked like they were having a great time! There was a girl in there with them and she was throwing a ball around and fussing over all these dogs. I kind of envied her!! Anyway, the price isn't that bad they'llfeed your dog once and a snack is also included. And of course they walk it.

Someone just built one right across the street from my work. They spent $2.2 million on this place and it looks like some sort of palace - or at least an upscale office building. I can't believe there will be a high rate of return on that investment.

Anyway, they charge $17 per day for day care and $25 per night for boarding. We see a surprisingly large number of dogs go in and out of that place every day.

From what I hear the dogs should be having a good time. They have special beds to sleep on, walking trails and swimming pools for when the weather is better, lots of fenced in outdoor space, and games and activities - like a kids' day camp. They have also wired the place with web cams so owners can check in on their pets during their stays.

I used to send my dogs once a week when I lived in MA. It was wonderful - they got to socialize with other dogs and run around until they conked out.
I wish there was someplace close to my house to send them.

Whenever we go away for longer then a day we take our pup scruffy to the doggie kennel down the road. Its 22 over night and 8 additional during the day if you want daycare (or just 19 per day for daycare) in the winter they stay inside in a large romper room but in the summer there is a larger play yard outside as well with playgym equipment, cabanas, kiddie pools etc. the dogs LOVE it!. After scruffy is there for a week he will be a zombie and sleep for two days recooperating after he gets home!!!

I have taken my husky/rott to a place closeby for daycare. They burn a lot of energy and are usually tired after playing all day. This place has kiddie pools and summer they have water activities. My new puppy, Sasha will be going in a few weeks after I get her "Fixed" on thursday. She and Nikita play hard, but I feel it is important that she meet other dogs and get well socialized.

Indy goes 1-2 times a week. He loves it! When we board, we take him to a place that is doggy day care during the day, and he gets his own room at night. He comes home so tired

My Brother and SIL send their two greyhounds to Petsmart's Daycare 2-3 times a week while they are at work. DH and I laugh, because they pay what we pay for my son to go to daycare per dog.

They love it and love that they can go online and see their pups on a webcam. The dogs love it too.

Doggie day care is great, more so when you have a new puppy and can't leave him or her alone during the day while you are at work.

Most doggie day cares also have a doggie hotel so they can "vacation" while you are vacationing and they can hang out with other dogs, swim in the pool and all that fun stuff.

I need to try one out with my boys. There is 1-2 days a week we have a hard time getting back home within 8-9 hours and it's really too long to leave them. I would love to let them play all day instead =)

Course I'm SO cheap that I'll probably figure out a way to come home those days before paying for it LOL!

I can't even afford daycare for the kids let alone doggie daycare. It is a really good idea though.

There's one near me that has a bus that picks dogs up and brings them home. The driver must think I'm a lunatic because I can't stop laughing whenever I see them in traffic. They are just so cute, sitting there looking out the bus windows!
