I might have asked this once before but sorry I just don't remember! Can you ask to wrap up your unfinished dinner? Does anyone do this? Would I feel like a complete fool carrying it back to my hotel? I guess if I didn't plan on returning for hours later maybe I would not take it.

Yes, you can definitely do this--but if you don't have a fridge in the hotel, what's the use? And like you said, if you aren't going back straightaway I also wouldn't do so...Ptomaine poisoning is a fast way to ruin a vacation.

I'va taken leftovers many a time when staying in a DVC resort...gives DS something to nosh on when he gets back from DQ at midnight

Have never done it myself but many times I have seen people leaving with their leftover food.
