My daughter is bringing her service dog on our holiday trip, Dec. 16-23. His name is Koda and we will be going to the Storyteller's character breakfast so we can get a picture with Kenai. Do the Build-a-Bear Workshop ears fit dogs? Does World of Disney sell pet ears?

I had a pair of ears for my build a bear but that was from forever ago. The ears had an elastic strap that hold the hat on I am sure they would fit on a dog as long as the dog isnt too small. Might need to make a knot in the elastic to make it tighter, but the hat part should be good.

WOD does have a section with clothes and such for pets! I don't remember if they had ears though! Maybe give them a call?

We saw someone ahead of us meeting Donald with a service dog wearing Mickey ears. So adorable.

I hope your DD has a great trip!

We got a pair about 10 years ago, since then we haven't seen them in the park. Depending on the size of your dog, you could try the infant hats.

Thank you! We have been comforted about this new adventure with Koda by everyone's encouraging words. I hope we find ears that fit. Malcon, do you find your dog ever getting overtired with all the walking and stimulation?

Yes, dogs are generally need about 14 hours sleep a day (yep, they really do need it) we make sure they get their rest. We take rest breaks, and let them have down time. We had one dog we had to make sure we gave her time to wake up. She was able to fall asleep at the drop of a hat. (She was asleep in the Lilly Belle before we even left the station.) So we would start waking her 5 mins before we needed to be moving. Another never needed as much sleep, and she would never wear out. Every dog is different. It can get cold at night and we make sure the dogs had coats, we would put their vests over their coats. We also carried rain jackets if there was a chance of rain. Make sure you carry a water bowl, we have a fold up that works great. Also, First Aid is a great location. We have been there a couple times with the pups when they laid down in gum (they had peanut butter to help get it out) and once got a piece of hard candy in their paw (they helped get it out.)

Oh, thank you for this advice. I'm excited but also a little bit nervous. Koda is used to running in the neighborhood park every day and I know he will miss playing with our pet dog.

That is good to know that you got your service fog on the Lily Belle. Riding her is one of our VIP tour day requests.
