Dog park at the Fort

I was telling my wife about this and our family agrees a new pool with a slide would be a much better way to spend the money at FW LOL.

Reality....neither one will happen anytime soon.....pluto:

Not likeley and from what I have seen the Fort while walking around on our visits vefore the fire and movie it really really does need a better pool area and a slide I mean RC is no longer there so they had best update the actual pools.

Yea, but if you have the cat AND the goldfish in the RV together, then what? ;)

Add in the hamster, and they could be over the limit for site occupancy..and someones got to go to the kennel. :confused3 I vote for the husband!:rotfl2: Sorry guys..I couldn't resist:flower3:

Another possible location would be the dog walk area by the kennel - the large, open meadow. I wouldn't like to lose that area for walking my dog, but it is a large, accessible area and near the kennel where the staff could maintain it.

Of course, I think a dog park in a camp ground would probably be another Disney exclusive. I don't think I have ever heard of one at another camp ground before.

And like the others have said, it would be nice to feel like we are getting something for our $5/night other than free poop bags!

They are pretty good poop bags, though.

I just wanted to say that yes he said they were building it soon. He didn't say it was free. He didn't say it would cost either but I am not assuming it is free. Maybe they will offer a parkhopper with dog park option. I should have mentioned the pool while I was talking to him.

Magic Your Way + Dog Park! lol

is it true? Our husky and border collie would love it and it would tire them out. But I wish they also would up grade the POOLS, too like mentioned above.

Outdoor Resorts at St Lucie West has one. But haven't seen anyone actually use it.

I agree. What if you have a hamster? or a goldfish? What's the difference, if they never leave the RV?

It happens. My parents rented an RV for 3 summers to vacation. The primary reason why--the Iguana with separation anxiety! Then again, she weighed more than most toy size dogs. :rotfl:

And yes there were several times that the fish came also in the RV, if you're bringing the dog and the diva lizard, might as well bring the fish.

LOL we just send our Bearded Dragon to the shop we got him at they board him for 3 bucks a day including all the food etc. I am sorry but it is just a darn pet it isn't coming on holidays with me no way no how no matter if it was a lizzard or a dog or cat or whatever the pets stay home. Mind you we will never own a furry pet or a feathered pet due to my horrendous allergies to all things with 4 legs and fir or wings and feathers.

The dog park idea is a great one....we just got back from our trip to FW and also went to Fort de Soto Campground for 6 days and they have Paw Playground in the Fort de Soto State Park, a HUGE fenced in area split in two (one for small dogs and one for big dogs) and our Old English Sheepdog loved the fact that he could go any where he wanted. They also have a water faucet for them and in talking with a couple of ladies it is offered at different parks in the state.
Good idea, now let's see where they run with it.

Bump...paw:

I was wondering if anybody has heard any updates about the dog park at FW. Is it a rumor or a project that is currently in the works? paw:
