We arrived at the Mickey & Friends parking garage yesterday morning at 10:40 a.m. so we were parked at 10:45. We started walking and came upon a Toyota Four Runner from Utah with a dog inside. He was barking at everyone. I took down the license and was going to report it to someone thinking something would be done about it but one of the parking attendants came up and saw it. He quickly walked to one of the pillars with the emergency intercoms on it. We kept walking because we figured it would be taken care of.
Okay, fast forward to 4:25 p.m. we returned to the garage and fully expected to see either the truck gone or at least the dog pulled out by animal control. Well, neither one happened. I took pictures of the truck and the dog, (I wish I had taken video) and then one of the security guys drove by and I flagged him down. I asked if anything had been done or was going to be done. He told me they had policies and procedures for this sort of thing and they were keeping an eye on the dog to make sure it was not in distress. I asked if they knew if the owner had come back to water or let the dog out because I know they have cameras in the garage. This guy did not know. He had come on shift at 3:00 p.m. and had been told the car had only been there since 1:00 p.m. and I told him that was not correct; it had been much longer. All he kept telling me was the dog was not in distress and they would watch him. I could see I wasn't going to get anywhere so I thanked him and left.
So my question is what would you have done or what would you do now? Or would you have done anything? I am rather disturbed by the lack of any action on the part of security. Oh, and we are annuall passholders so we get to see the garage quite alot and this was first for us. Thanks for any comments.
