Help! We have 2 pugs and need to find a safe boarding spot for them during our next trip to BCV from 8/3 through 8/15. One of the dogs just doesn't do well when we leave him. The first time, we got a house sitter, and he pouted when we returned. The second time, we moved someone into the house during our trip and he got so ill we had to return early. We really don't want to repeat that, and figured boarding is our next best option. Rather than boarding him here, where we can't check on him if things aren't going well, we might try boarding at Disney. I hear they have an overnight kennel at Epcot and wanted to know if anyone has had any experience with this process. Our problem dog has developed an allergy to the normal sources of protein (like chicken, beef, liver) and is now on special food (venison and rice dry dog food). This seems like the best of all possibilities if the facilities are nice. How are the kennels at Disney for overnight boarding? Thanks.

My sister boarded her two jack russells at Disney. She said it was very nice. You do have to visit your dogs twice a day to walk them tho, so be aware of that.

Best of luck, Diane

I do not belive you have to visit to walk them anymore. There is an overnight kennel at Fort wilderness and at the TTC.
Just a note: You will need to be current with your shots: You can get a printout from your vet.
Special food usually costs more to feed ( like $1-$2) Does your vet do boarding? I'd recommend that.

The Disney kennels have always been very nice, and there is one at each of the major parks. Last year the mangement was outsourced so it is no longer a Disney operation. It is more like a regular boarding kennel now, so you don't have to walk them yourselves anymore. We ike the Epcot one best because they have outdoor runs for the you to use if you wish to. They are nice and under a roof for protection. We have traveled to dog shows in Florida and used the kennels when we combined our dog show trip with a vacation. Not sure if the outsourcing has made an impact on the service one way or the other, but we were very pleased with the service when it was Disney.
