Dog allergy room request?

I just called in a request to be put in an allergy free room at Port Orleans Riverside. Where would the request show up on the website?

Also, just to note, ANY room could have a service animal in it at any time. So if dogs are potentially a problem, you should be requesting the allergy cleaning every stay regardless of the resort.

Only way to be sure. Especially at POR and the other dog friendly joints now.

Yes. Obviously at the pet-friendly resorts.

But ANY room at ANY resort could be host to a service animal (which is NOT a pet). So if it's truly a potential issue (and not just an "I'm making it difficult because I don't like them allowing pets" thing), then the allergy cleaning should be requested at any resort - not just the pet-friendly ones.

Okay, thank you everyone. Me and my daughter both have a severe dog allergy so I’ll request the deep cleaning also!

It's the only way to be safe with severe allergies. At any hotel you stay in. Because with the ADA service animals cannot be refused so any room anywhere could have had a dog or service animal in it.

I only put the caveat in my last post because I have read people saying they were going to request the deep clean at the pet-friendly resorts to make it more work for the CMs so that maybe they would pressure WDW to stop allowing them.

also make sure it is listed as Disney uses dogs for bed bug checks which could happen while you are there

Ugh that’s ridiculous! Some people. I haven’t read that aboiut people doing that, and I’m glad. Makes me mad.

But good point about OP doing that at any hotel anywhere. Service animals can be in any hotel room not just WDW.

Quick question---I just saw my Disney hotel on Hotels.com for a much cheaper price for the days I'm going. If I switched my booking to them instead of Disney directly, can I still call Disney and add an allergy cleaning request? I thought I read Disney doesn't accept room requests when booking thru a different source, but wasn't sure if allergy requests counted? Does anyone have experience with this? Thanks!!

The request would have to come from Hotels.com. You won't be able to request it yourself.

Ok, thanks for the info---I'm hesistant to do it through a 3rd party as I don't want it to get neglected as I definitely need to request the cleaning so I guess I will just stick with my Disney reservation.
