Does your Wii make a high pitched humming sound?

Our Wii is driving me crazy whenever my son plays it. It makes an annoying, high pitched humming or buzzing sound. It's almost 3 years old. It works fine other than the sound. Just wondering if this is happening to anyone else?

Ours is prob almost three years old also. Humming started a month or so ago, doesn't happen the entire time, usually just went first turning it on. It is quite annoying : )

Hubby said it is prob on its way out the door, which I am ok with because I really would like the black , it will blend in with the entertainment cabinet and tv .
Im hoping it will last through the holidays if that is in fact the issue.

I hate to say it but that doesn't sound good. That is what happened to our Wii was working fine. Started to hum alittle bit, made some other noises then one day dead. We had it about 3 and half years. Not to bad considering all the play time on it.

My Wii is 2 years old and it makes the humming sound anytime you put in a disc and it stops after 10 minutes.

Ours hums all the time and has been for quite a while. It is terribly annoying!
My 8 year old isn't allowed to play Wii when his siblings are doing their homework.
