I've never had a dog who hugged before, but our little beagle does. He puts his arms around our necks and nuzzles his face in our necks (if we're lucky) or faces. He's the funniest little thing.

never had a dog who did it, but my grandmother had a cat who hugged me like that whenever he saw me. he always wrapped his front paws around my neck and buried his face in my hair in the back of my neck. he'd purr like crazy, and sometimes even drool, lol. i loved that crazy cat. he'd stand at the door and beg to be let back in the house but when he'd meow, it sounded like he was saying "i want out!" but he was wanting in, lol.

Our Min Pin does, she loves hugging (she likes to kiss too - so we make sure we brush her teeth daily).

Our 100+ lb. chocolate lab does. He thinks he is a lap dog to begin with.... but he loves to rub the top of his head on your chest. If he's feeling really affectionate he will end up on his back in your lap.

Luckily he only does this to our immediate family. :rolleyes::rotfl2:

My lab/terrier mix loves hugs. She sits quietly and waits while wagging her tail, and if you don't lean down, she "paws" you by reaching a paw up and motions you down. When you lean down she puts her head over your shoulder and leans in. It makes me melt every time:love:

Our sheperd beagle mix does. He jumps on the couch, leans back into the cushions and waves his paws until you come hug him.:lovestruc silly dog

Yes our little Maltese angel does :) and she lays her head on our shoulder like a little child. It's so sweet!!!

Our aussie shepherd does. As soon as you come through the door, he jumps up, puts his paws on our shoulders and will stay that way until we hug him back. He'll even rest his head on our shoulder. First dog we've ever had that did that and yes, it is so cute. :)

My kids think that one of our dogs hugs them. Problem is, he's really humping them. I don't have the heart to tell them the truth :rotfl2:

lol

I remember the first time our son saw our lab "loving" on his big stuffed animal. He came running into the kitchen saying, "Mom, Shiloh is playing cowboy with my big tiger!"

We have a dog that has hugged from the side but not from the front. Dogs are the best.

:rotfl2::rotfl2::rotfl2: Don't tell them, please!:rotfl::rotfl::rotfl:

My old Mr Murphy kind of, sort of, hugs. His version is to lean in close, pop his chin over a shoulder, snuggle in and sigh deeply. No pawsies involved and no humping.

So sue us -- we call that a Murphy-hug.
