This is slightly OT, but will you count horses' registered names?

We have acquaintances whose horse was named A Naked Cowgirl. I cringed every time they called out the placings. "Third place goes to ****** ***** on A Naked Cowgirl." I know the probably thought it was funny (they actually named the horse themselves), but I didn't care for it personally.

There were also a few others: Hardcore Fantasy was one of them, and it went on from there with that particular breeder.

My baby is Abercrombie the Expensive! It's a joke in our family. She's a Yorkshire Terrier. To make a long story short we just call her Abercrombie.

A mini schuazer called Baron Schnapps von Lowenbrau (or "shot and a beer". Yeah, my dad's a funny guy). We called him Schnapps or Schnappsy.

And we had a buff cocker spaniel named Wendy's Little Lady. Her mother's name was Wendy, and our dog was the runt of the litter so she was smallest. We called her Lady, so everyone thought it was from Lady and the Tramp.

Hannah our boxer was born April 1st 2001. Her AKC name is Hannah's No Fool.

Our other boxer is Bailey but we haven't decided on an official name yet.

My black Lab who just passed last fall was named Calypso Kate's Sonic Boom, Katie for short. Kate was the only part I came up with; the rest of it was taken from names of her ancestors.

My greyhound is reg as "Bungalow", but we call her Janky.


My horses all have registered names:

I SWEAR that my next show horse is going to be named "Buck Nekkid", so that when the announcer calls out the class "next on course is rider Jennasis, riding Buck Nekkid"!

Our black Standard Poodle will be "Darci Kukei" once she is spayed. Darci is both French (D'Arcy) and Irish (Gaelic, "Dark One") and my DH insisted that she also have a Japanese name since our last dog (a Japanese Akita) had one and both our Japanese Bobtail cats have Japanese Names. Kukei means "rectangle" and poodles are described as having a rectangular body.

Our cats are "Nikkei" after the Japanese Stock Exchange and Kaede which means "Maple Leaf" ... she was born in Winnipeg Canada on Canada Day. Our Akita was "Akiko Shimo Ashi" or Akiko Frosty Paws as she had white paws.

My last Toy Poodle that I had for 16 years was PEACHES 'N CREAM GOLDEN DREAM...my current male Toy Poodle is WINSTON'S SPIDER BITE. We call him SPIDER. He's black and fuzzy and sort of looks like a big black spider.

We, too, had to use the kennel name as the first word of his registered name, so, our baby is "Sunkist Flew the Coop" ~ call name "Cooper". He's a Border Terrier and he's PRECIOUS (and still a puppy...so he's currently evil, but GOD WILLING he's gonna grow up soon)!!

We never registered our boxer, but I often said that if we did we were going to name her Lucy von "Bad Dog" Poopie Paws H. (initial is our last name). We affectionately referred to her as Lucy or Lucy-Goosy.
