stained glass windows?? We have very tall clear windows all along the sides of the sanctuary. This makes it very tempting to look out and daydream. We do have a beautiful rosetta though located above the cross at the altar.

The old section of our church has a large, beautiful stained glass in its foyer. The new sanctuary has a much smaller stained glass above the baptistry, but it is lit artificially.

I remembering visiting a Cathedral in St. Louis well known for it's abundant and beautiful stained glass windows. It was so breathtaking.

Agree daydreaming is just as easy with all that stained glass.....we have alot of stained glass windows in our church they are just beautiful but you are easily drawn into the colors especially when the sun is glimmering through them.

Our church was built in the 60's/70s. So we have funky psychodelic stained glass.
Its like heavy thick chunks instead of light and airy. I like it I call it "The Brady Bunch Church" because it looks like something Mike Brady would have designed.
I am sure it looked really contemporary in 1968.

Well, the church we belong to but don't attend anymore (long story) has stained glass windows on either side of the sanctuary - the windows are divided into 4 sections and each one has 2 pink and 2 lime green.
I kid you not. I could never understand why they chose those colors, and not "pretty" ones.

The church (Presbyterian) where I used to be the secretary has lovely stained glass windows.
