We have never done princess dresses in the park before and I am trying to find best ways of doing it. All day/ morning/evening- WE do not have character meals scheduled. We are going in December so I am worried about weather. What are some tips and tricks you have used for Princess dresses in the park?

December is actually a lovely time for kids to wear costumes in the park..... much nicer than the hot months of summer. Just layer things if it's cold (t-shirt or turtleneck) if it's particularly chilly.

DD usually puts DGDs in their regular clothes...shorts/leggings and a tee shirt under their princess dresses on the MK days. The oldest usually is done with the princess dress after 3 hours but the younger one stays in hers all day until we return to the resort. Having their regular clothes underneath saves a trip to the restrooms to take off the dress and DD then puts it under the stroller in a plastic bag.

My nieces did the same thing and wore layers. In December, they wore long sleeve shirts and leggings underneath and they were warm enough during the day and just put on a coat over it all at night.

We have gone in December the last two years with our little one and are going again this year (she's 4 y.o. now). She has always worn princess dresses to the parks, especially Magic Kingdom. Usually the temperatures have been fine for her to just wear the dress (we've never put clothes underneath) and we bring a sweater as well for morning/evenings. I would advise to come prepared with lighter clothes as well. The big skirts and less-breathable fabrics can get hot. Our daughter got really hot waiting in the sun for a parade and I was so happy I had a light dress with us to put on her. Have so much fun, and definitely go with some princess dresses!!! Also, I try to let her pick out her dresses but *remind* her that we will be meeting so-and-so, and that will sometimes steer her in a cute photo-op direction. Last year we had the most darling pic of her showing off her Anna boots with the "REAL" Princess Anna doing the same. :)
