Does your 1 year old do this?

My 14 month old DS gets the wipes and a diaper, brings them to me and lays down at my feet. It is SO cute! He also does this with his shoes. He'll find them and bring them to me, or anyone else around and lay down at their feet. Isn't he a little young to be asking me to change his diapers?

Mine did that at exactly the same age so I thought "OMG great! She wants to be trained!" My crazy wishful thinking. Now she's 2 and if she's naked she's trained, but stick her in a diaper or underpants and she no longer seems to care about sitting in a mess for hours.

It gets worst.. yesterday she took the diaper off and said poops and handed me the crappy diaper.

DD did this to me when she was around 1. I was reading a book in the living room and she was playing. She brings me a diaper, I said thanks and put it down. Then she came back with wipes and I said thanks and put them down. She then brought the powder and I said thanks and put it down. She was quiet for a while and when I looked down she was laying on the floor.

I guess sometimes the baby knows more than the Mommy!

Yup, my little guy has been doing this for awhile now. He is so cute about it, he says Diaper All Doneeeeeeeeeeee and brings me a new one with the wipes. And then I put it in the baggie and he has to throw it away for me. Then we go wash hands... it's like a routine, he remembers each step.

They learn "privacy" at a young age also. Right around that age my cousin would go hide when she needed to do #2. If you walked up on her, she would have a fit.

lol, Ds does this now too. If he starts digging in the diaper bag I will ask him if he is wet...he usually says "yeah!" Then he brings me the diaper and climbs on the sofa with me. He is also being more helpful durring changes too, today he lifted his butt for me to wipe it, too cute!

My 16 month old fights me tooth and nail during diaper changes, it's like trying to hold a greased pig.
