Really not a big deal, but I noticed everytime I call in about my reservation (3 times--I know I'm sorry reservation people) they always mention it is celebrating my dd's 15th bday. Her bday is actually March 4 and this is her present, but we aren't going until 3/13-17 due to waiting for spring break.

I don't really expect anything, nor does my dd care as we have been to Disney so often for her bday it isn't a big deal. She is dying to see WWOHP though. Last time we went it had just opened and was so crowded she decided to hold off on getting in. Just a curiousity as they mention it everytime even when I called in to just verify they had my Loews membership number on the reservation.

We love RPH. Last time it wasn't any special even and they upgraded us to a park view. Oh how my dd loved hearing that Hulk testing every morning and opening up the curtains to see it. So much fun. I'm more excited than she will be I think. She won't know until the 4th when she opens her gift.

you can get birthday stickers from guest services in the park.
wear it and you never know if a TM will do something special.
(kind of a hit and miss sometimes though.)

i have read threads and trippies where peeps state they have received special treats from TM's in the park.

i find that thrilling when they give kids extra attention or a free soda.

at the hotel, they repeat your comments you placed on your file that you made at reservation time.
this is normal.

the hotel might or might not do something.

i have read that one of the TM's provided treats on her own, to a family that had a birthday child with them at check in time.

some have posted about having balloons in the room for the child after they returned from the park to their room.

spring break is a busy time at the hotels and parks.

maybe it is possible for a free upgrade??
don't really know but wouldn't that be nice and special for your child!

Universal has nice birthday buttons at Guest Services at the parks now. :thumbsup2

This past May we went up for our Birthdays. My DW is the day before mine and our DS is a week later. So we went to guest services and we all got B-day pins with our names on them. We all got them on the same day, so we would not have to go on the actual B-day.

Then on my DW's B-day she was wearing he pin in WWOHP waiting for the Butterbeer cart. When we got up to order and pay the TM noticed the pin on her. We went to pay and she said it's free because of your B-day. Then I told her about my B-day is the next day and our son's is next week. She said, then all three can have a free Butterbeer.:goodvibes

Then in MIB the the TM made a huge announcement over the PA that it was our Birthdays. :lmao: Then there was plenty of people that just said Happy Birthday.

I took my friend and her son who was turning 12 on the day we visited IOA. As we were going thru the turnstyles I asked whether Universal does anything for birthdays and where should we go to get her son a birthday button. The lady I asked immediately brightened up and said, "Where's the birthday boy?!" She told us to stay right there and sent a cast member off to get his birthday button while asking him who he would like to receive a birthday call from and named off several characters from the two parks. I think he picked the "Hulk". She handed the phone to him and he spent several minutes receiving a Happy Birthday greeting from the Hulk.....he had a major huge smile on his face at this point. By then his birthday button arrived with his name added and we were off to see Harry Potter. I was impressed by the way they handled the birthday at IOA....very well done!
