When we went to Disney a few years back, we were very happy to discover that our son could get a sugar free cheesecake no matter what restaurant we went to. It was never on the menu, but all we had to do was ask, and they'd bring him out a slice - and free of charge, though we never demanded or expected it.
We were also - usually! - able to buy frozen bananas at the ice cream trolleys. And we very much appreciated the willingness of the CMs to dive headfirst into their trucks and dig down to the bottom to try to find one for him.
My personal fantasy (though I know this is wildly unlikely to happen) is that Honeydukes will have a sugar-free section. Barring that, what can I expect to find in Universal's park for a kid who needs to avoid sugar and carbs? Do the ice cream trolleys have sugar-free or no-sugar-added options?
Also, has anyone had any experience with trying to eat low-carb at the restaurants on site? We'll be staying at RPR. I've heard they have a breakfast buffet - how expensive is it, and do they have protein options like eggs and bacon or sausage available in the morning?
