Does this type of hotel exist in DL?

Nice/fun pool for teen and adults; QUIET room for special needs child that won't be able to 'turn off' for the night with constant freeway and street noise; and reasonably close/walkable to/from DL. Please help guide us! Thank you

Thank you - been looking at the CY but wasn't sure about the level of noise/quiet since I think the freeway is right behind it? And so many choices of "room views" which ones would be quietest. I wish GC was in our budget =(

We didn’t book courtyard because it doesn’t look that fun for adults.
To get all of that you will need onsite.
But it should be quiet. It’s not going to be a roaring highway noise. I’d book pool view if available.

Courtyard is our go-to hotel. We normally just get a normal no view room but with the bunk beds and 2 queens. You should definitely get a pool or resort facing room as you will hear highway noise if you get a regular room. It's not overpowering but it is there and you've indicated that would not be ideal for your child. One huge benefit we've found to this hotel is you get two separate showers that are separated by the large vanity area. That really helped us with getting ready in the mornings as we didn't have to wait for each person to shower one by one.

I will say the pool isn't superb as it is narrow and more of a lap pool but it serves its purpose. It does have two separate water slides that end in a small exit tub which is fun. There's also a hot tub for older teens and adults. Younger kids can enjoy the spray park.

It's a bit further, but Residence Inn Convention Center may fit your needs. It's a 15 min walk. I've stayed there 3 times and only heard kids in the hall once from the kitchen area of the room and silence in the bedroom area. I was on the ground floor once with windows facing traffic on Katella and I never heard anything. The only drawback could be bathroom usage when your child is sleeping, since it's in the bedroom area, and the showers can be heard even with the door closed.

Yes, the pool closes at 10pm each night. Resort view might be the best thing. I just know that's more limited since the majority of the rooms face the pool area. I think any place along Harbor is going to have some drawbacks as you're close to the highway.

If you can swing it, I'd look at one of the on-property hotels. That's going to give you probably the best environment that you're looking for.

When are you going? The resort hotels have sales sometimes, like right now reservations through April 7th are 25% off. They had that discount over Christmas, too.

The absolute best option is the GCH, specifically in a courtyard view room. Those are SUPER QUIET.

Next best option is honestly going to be the Disneyland Hotel, with a premium pool view room in any tower. Those face in towards the pool Courtyard but are high up enough that you don't hear a thing. That pool is arguably more fun than GCH, but we have issues with the food offerings at DLH right now so won't stay there again anytime soon (the QS is very heavily Hawaiian/Asian food themed and our kids are not fans of that).

They often have discounts in late August at the on property hotels, so keep checking.

We'll be in the DL area from 8/26-8/30.

I'd check the hotel prices from time to time, I've heard they have summer discounts sometimes.

We stayed at the Hyatt House a few years ago and that was very quiet, about a 15-20 minute walk for us. The pool was nice.

When we stayed at the Hojo we didn't have issues with noise, either. Hojo has a water park that's more for little kids, but their garden pool is relaxing and quiet for adults.

I'd take a look at the new Westin. I feel like a broken record here lately recommending it, sorry, but I do think it would meet your quiet needs for sure. Less sure on the pool since we didn't use that but it seems nice. Also have the rooftop lounge for another relaxing area for teens/adults.

The marriott Cy has never been noisy for us, and we were facing the road so we could watch the fireworks. I am a very sensitive sleeper, so if it doesn’t bather me… Also if you get a King size room the bunk beds are tucked in an alcove at the back of the room, so very quiet. My daughter is ADHD so doesn’t take much to get her going, but no problems in the bunk beds.
