Does this sound right? Aust Post exchange rate

Hi!

I went by Australia Post this evening to enquire about getting USD. They are willing to exchange $AUD1 for $USD0.929.

For those that exchanged currency @ Australia Post, does this rate sound legit considering the dollar currently sits @ $0.959? That's a 30c difference for every dollar.

ZADS, it's only 3 cents difference for every dollar, and yep, that's what they always charge

The retail rate is never what the Forex rate is.
The banks normally also offer a rate of 3 - 4 cents lower; and there is another thread just on the $. If you have found it, you'll have found that other exchange bureau's do worse.

Aussie Post don't charge a commission.
