***updated to reflect everyone suggestions****

My husband might kill me if I ask him his opinion on our ADRs again. Would you mind telling me if these sound like good choices?

Checking into Port Orleans French Quarter around 12. Driving from Jacksonville, Florida. Driving from Virginia the day before. Kids ages 9(boy) and girl (5).

Arrival day.
Raglan road - dinner (530/6)
Our son is obsessed with Irish culture.

Monday- AK/Epcot
Flaming tree BBQ- lunch
San Angels Inn -dinner (we are really into authentic Mexican food, from San Diego).

Tuesday - MK/Epcot
BOG -breakfast (pre-park opening)
QS - lunch
Teppan Edo - dinner
Illuminations

Wednesday - no parks
Ohana - breakfast (9)
1900 or Whispering Canyon 5/530
Campfire 7pm

Thursday - DH
Sci-fi - lunch or dinner
Fantasmic, Star Wars fireworks

Friday - MK
Lunch - quick service
Dinner - quick service
Wishes Fireworks

Saturday- check out

I'm losing my mind trying to plan these ADRs. This will be our first trip with kids and we want it to be magical. I don't foresee us going back to WDW in the next 5 years. We prefer to take Disney Cruises. :-)

Thanks for your help.

I don't see a problem. I assume there are some contingencies for snacks for the kids for the missing meals?

The only thing I would have a concern with would be BBB at the springs and then dinner. That's only 2 hours to do BBB and the travel back to Mk area. If anything is slow or late it could be tight or problematic but that's just me.

I think your choices look good. My only comment would be your non-park day. That is a very early start and a lot of traveling around just for meals. I would prefer a half resort day to take a bit of a break with maybe CS at the resort and time at the pool. Could you add Chef Mickey to your last MK day? It is an easy walk to the CR and might give you a little break from a long day at the park.

How are you traveling? Raglan Road dinner in DS could be early depending on your expected arrival time. I never book an arrival day ADR until 4 hours after my scheduled arrival time.
I agree your off to day looks a bit hectic
Otherwise it looks great.

These are great choices! The only thing I might change is try to swap out is the Rose and Crown at Epcot for either your Monday or Tuesday night dinner. If you time it right, you can be sitting outside and finishing up dinner as illuminations begins. Magical!!!

San Angel is a great dining experience, but the food is just so-so. Teppan Edo is wonderful, too, but not much different from the great Japanese steakhouses we have locally. This is just my opinion, but I would try something a little more unique to Epcot, like Rose and Crown, La Hacienda de San Angel (you can see illuminations from here, too!), Tutto Italia (the Italian wait staff is so interesting to talk to!), Le Cellier (amazing food), or Akershus (Princess dining, and only one credit on DDP).

Also, for Wednesday, Sci-Fi is one of our favorites!! if you are looking for another meal at Hollywood, 50's Prime Time has always been a hoot as well.

For Wednesday at DDD, for Quick service, try Earl of Sandwich or Wolfgang Puck express. Both are yummy with healthy options.

Again, just my opinion. Hope you have a wonderful time!!!

I'll comment on the places I know something about.

Checking into Port Orleans French Quarter. Kids ages 9(boy) and girl (5).

Arrival day
Raglan road - dinner (530/6) I've heard the entertainment is great but the food is not so much. This report was from good friends who recently visited.

Monday- AK/Epcot
Flaming tree BBQ - lunch
Love this! Go all the way to the back of the seating area for a great view and perhaps a quiet lunch. We are often the only people in the area.
San Angels Inn -dinner
Fantastic theming! The DIS podcast recently did a review. I was sorry to hear that it wasn't positive. I keep wanting to try this place but haven't pulled the trigger yet.

Tuesday - MK/Epcot
BOG -breakfast (pre-park opening)
QS - lunch
Teppan Edo - dinner
This is terrific. I wasn't excited about this place at all and booked it because of a request from someone in our dining party. We were pleasantly surprised at how good it is.
Illuminations
Dinner then Illuminations...one of my favorite things in the World.

Wednesday - no parks
Chef Mickey - breakfast (830)
I know it gets a bad rap, but we love it: the atmosphere, the energy, and yes...the food.
Bippity boppity- 3/330, Disney Springs
1900 - dinner (530/6)

Thursday - DH
Sci-fi - lunch or dinner
This is such a fun experience! The burgers and shakes are good.
Fantasmic

Friday - MK
Lunch - quick service
Dinner - quick service
Wishes Fireworks

We love Disney cruising too! I just got off the Magic and am already planning another!

I will definitely book bbb earlier than. Thanks!

We are driving. Will be arriving around 12 that day.

San Angel Inn is my only caution. We aren't Disney food snobs but everyone hated this meal. And sadly, it was our last night. It wasn't inedible but it just wasn't good. (We also had bad service but I think it was just rotten luck with our waitress as the others looked on their game).

The location is great so if you want to try it for that reason, go for it! I just want to make sure it doesn't throw you off if you have a lesser dining experience early on.

I agree with missbrooke06. the food is just not that great. and I could barely see the menu because of how dark it was! just a little odd.

Thanks for your help.

If this is your "first trip with kids", and you "want it to be magical", your first ADR should be geared to a WOW factor for the kids. That would be T-Rex for sure!

Be at the bus stop at 6:30 for pre opening BOG ADR. Everyone with pre ADR gets in MK at 7:45. Take a slow walk to BOG snapping photos on an empty Main Street. No matter when your pre park opening ADR is, everyone gets in BOG at 8am.
You will be able to ride 7dwarfsMT a couple walk ons even before MK opens.

Make BBB earlier or your 1900PF later.

Try Columbia Harbor House for at least one of your MK quick service meals.

Le Celier would be the greatest choice for your Epcot dinner on Monday instead of San Angel. You will love Teppan Edo on Tuesday.

Have Fun :sail:

Thanks so much! I would love to take the kids to Trex but they are terrific of dinosaurs. No Dino rides for them. Super bummed.

We will have our truck with us. Would leaving the hotel at 730 work for an 8am BOG time?

No it would not. You park so far away and have to catch the ferry or monorail, mess with strollers, walking some distances....It absolutely would not work at 7:30. My reason for a pre park ADR is to get in to an empty MK. It is glorious! I always want to be at the front of the early ADR line at the tap styles. (They are on the very far left). Disney bus transportation is the best way to go for early ADR at MK .

I've heard mixed things about this restaurant. We love love love authentic Mexican food. So I'm tempted to keep it. Or switch to the other Mexican restaurants.

Thanks!

I hear most people don't like it because it's not Americanized Mexican food. It's truly authentic, which being from San Diego is hard to find anywhere but there.

How you would describe the food?
