Athough...bleh...the "spam pizza burgers" wouldn't be something I'd try unless under duress. Actually, in looking at the other recipes, I'd save the canned chili in the event of some natural disaster...

ETA: Hormel website has recipes -- just select Hormel Chili, the preparation time and dinner. Some still questionable recipes come up, such as Vegetable Polenta Squares and Curried Chili Ragout.

Chili with the chicken sounds gross. The only thing we use the hormel chili for is a dip. Spread out some cream cheese put the chili on top. Add some cheddar cheese on top of the chili and bake until melted. Serve with tortilla chips.

I'm toying with a new recipe I just thought up...

I had been marinating chicken breasts in salsa for a different recipe, but I thought of switching it up.

Here it is...

Baked chicken breast topped with chili (Hormel or the like), Monterey Jack cheese, and salsa, all baked until warm and melty.

Served with seasoned (taco seasoning) rice.

Gross...? Good...?

I liked canned Hormel chili as a late snack occasionally, but I probably wouldn't put it over chicken.

Chicken with salsa? Sure...I make it about once a month. So easy. Boneless, skinless chicken breasts. Either whole or cut into pieces. Brown in a skillet, dump a jar of salsa in, cover and simmer for a while until chicken is done. Or the same thing in a casserole dish in the oven. Serve with some type of Zatarain's or Lipton's(Knorr's) rice side dish.
