Does this really need to be corrected?

I called member services about 2 weeks ago to have my sister added to my reservation for my upcoming trip. When I received our ME vouchers in the mail today, it was addressed to my sister. When I just looked up my reservation on the dvc site, her name is listed before mine on the reservation. Does it really matter if her name is first on the reservation?

Order doesn't really matter. Any adult listed on the room reservation can check-in upon arrival at the resort. If someone is driving, the lead name is the one the parking pass would be under at the guard shack.

There is a known software issue that puts the last name entered as the lead name on the reservation. Correcting it can sometimes cause a larger problem.

I had that problem with a June BLT reservation. I could not do online check-in because somehow my mother was listed as the lead on the reservation. When I called to have it fixed, my reservation and points were lost. They were eventually found, but it was a stressful couple of days.

I would not change it if I were you - too many bad things could happen!

I agree, leave well alone. Had a similar situation in which the names were changed. MS lost the reservation during the process. I see the same thing has occurred in an upcoming reservation but I will not bother having them change it as I am afraid they may lose the reservation once again. Anytime I need them to add/delete a name I usually send this information with my confirmation number and ask that they respond, which they have done.

I'm in the same situation. A friend that I'm traveling with ended up with her name listed first. I didn't think much of it until I booked dining. When I tried to look up my ADRs & couldn't find them. They were listed under her name.

It's become a guessing game when checking in since this computer glitch first appeared. Giving a name at the guard shack, checking in at the front desk, marking mailed packages, giving a name for deliveries from owner's locker and Disney florist. It was so much easier when everything was always under my name. Now we need to check who the "lead guest" is on the reservation, or go down the list of all names on the reservation until we hit the right one.

I've got a reservation for next summer. The first and last nights are cash nights, the middle nights are on points. (I'm hoping to be able to get them all on points at 7 months.) For now, though, all three reservations have a different lead name. If the points reservations don't come through, I'm concerned this problem may lead to an issue with us remaining in the same room for the whole stay.

I wish they'd fix this already!
