Does this price sound reasonable for 5 people in July?

I know many of you are veterans of DLP. I was there once, when it first opened and I was studying abroad. Three kids and a husband later, we will be visiting again this coming July!

We are only staying one night, so even though I'd love one of the nicer hotels, we will really only be in the room to sleep....so budget wins out. Right now on the UK site, I'm getting a quote of 894 pounds (sorry, I can't find a symbol for that!) for 1 night at the Santa Fe with tickets.

That comes out to around $1387. I have been reading the boards, and this price sounds a bit high compared to the few prices I've seen others post. Is this normal? I would guess that since it's high season, that will play into it....but I want to be sure this is a decent price before I book it.

Thank you so much in advance for your help or advice!

I should add that there are 5 of us (DH, myself, DD/18, DS/14 and DD/6). This is the price for a family room. I tried to see what the prices were like for two rooms, but I couldn't get a combination that was less expensive than the family room. Needing the family room also only leaves us Santa Fe and Newport Bay as options. Thanks!

TBH it seems rather a lot. I booked for next October, one room in HNY, I got a deal that was 2 nights/2nights free and started at £975 (by the way I'm on a mac and £ is option + 3 ;)) so I guess if you were looking at normal prices it would be £975 for 2 nights, but that is October.

Is there anyway you could get a rollaway bed for your youngest and buy an extra park ticket? I have no idea if this is possible just an idea.

Also what day of the week are you planning on staying, I know when I was tinkering the dates of my booking it changed quite a lot if you arrived later in the week.

Good luck

That seems quite high to me. Even being summer, that seems like a lot. :confused3

Example: using the UK site, I recently booked 2adults/1-11year old (not free) for 3 nights next week, at the HNY with free half board and paid $1300 US.

What about Davy Crockett Ranch? I believe they have cabins that fit that many people, if I'm not mistaken? I haven't stayed there myself, but I know someone who did over the summer and they loved it.

Thanks for the help! I'm still hesitant to book at that price. It still just seems too high in comparison to what others have found, so I'll have to keep researching it seems. We can't do Davy Crockett because we won't have a car. We are coming in from Paris and then leaving the next day for London. Thanks for the help!

if you're only going to be there for one day, and visiting the parks for one day, you would be better booking an associated hotel nearby (they have free shuttle to and from the parks, just like the onsite hotels, and are located at the end of the road where the onsite hotels begin).

ie Explorers hotel, crew room for 4 plus adjoining bunk room for 2, is £165 total, including breakfast, on travelrepublic.

You can get one-day park tickets for around 50 euros each for DLP, so that would be around £350 total, including your hotel, breakfast and park tickets.

Normally, we'd be fine staying with an associated hotel....but since we are there just the one day, we were really hoping to get the Magic Hours early entry so that we can be sure to see it all in a short amount of time. If we go to an associated hotel, we'll lose that benefit. Thanks!!

Have you looked at buying park tickets and then getting a price for room only through associated website. Booking.com , expedia and the Eurostar websites do Disney room only and sometimes work out pretty good. Try that perhaps
