Does this plan sound good or is there a better way?

Hi everyone.. so we are going to Disney world Sept 16th-21st for the first time..It's my husband, our 7 year old son, 4 year old son, and myself. We have 6 days of park hopper tickets and are staying on site.

We arrive in Orlando at 1pm but after alot of thinking we decided we'd rather not start going to the parks that day. We plan to relax, then go to DS for dinner at trex (both of our sons are obsessed with dinosaurs) then check out some of the stores etc & head to bed early.

Here are the rest of my plans so far..I chose the parks based on touringplans expected hours and EMH for each day but will change them accordingly if the hours aren't correct. Please let me know if this seems possible or if going to two parks in one day is just too much..what would you guys do?

Saturday 9/17 - Magic kingdom
Sunday 9/18 - Epcot. EMH 11pm
Monday 9/19- Animal Kingdom at rope drop .. and then hollywood studios in the late afternoon and night ... ( according to touringplans HS should have EMH this night until 11pm)
Tuesday 9/20- Magic kingdom again and mickeys halloween party at night ( according to touringplans this is a party night )
Wednesday - checkout & morning at whichever park we liked the best... Flight home 6pm

Thanks!!

If you are going back to your resort for a swim and/or nap, then it doesn't take any additional time going to a 2nd park front the resort.

Now, the plan sounds good for WDW's current state, but AK's Night show and sunset savanna will be open by then, and you may want a night at AK...(1st night instead of DS?)

I don't think you need park hopper tickets, you can save a couple of hundred + dollars by just getting regular tickets! Maybe do HS on Tuesday morning, and MK on Wed morning.

My only question is, are you really expecting to stay for Epcot EMH at 11 pm and then do rope drop at Animal Kingdom the next morning? I, personally wouldn't do that, particularly with a 7 and 4 year old in tow. I would also rethink the schedule so you can see the new AK nighttime show. You could actually drop the hoppers and do something like this:

9/17 - Magic Kingdom
9/18 - EP
9/19 - AK
9/20 - DHS in morning, MK party in the evening (you can enter at 4 pm)
9/21 - revisit your favorite park

Good idea! Yes you're right. I don't want to tire them out too much. If I already bought the park hoppers with our package can I really just drop them ?

Yes. I originally figured we would arrive at the resort around 3 and head over to magic kingdom. But now I'm thinking it might be the first night of mickeys halloween party and I'd rather not buy tickets to that for our first night just in case the flight gets delayed or something. We could do another park and that's still an option too...but I feel like I'd like our first park to be magic kingdom. And I don't know if starting any park at 3/4pm after traveling would be a good idea. But yea. I did add the tickets to our package. Obviously shouldn't have haha.

Eh, the difference in price between a 5 day ticket and a 6 day ticket is only $10.65, so you're only out $42.60 if you don't go to a park the first day.

Ask to be seated in the Ice Cave at T-Rex. there's a good view of several of the dinos from there, and when the meteor hits, it changes color. My DS10 LOVES it. We have to go every trip (even though the food is mediocre at best!!!). This trip we talked him into 2 desert trips, instead of 1 meal...so we can eat meals at Wolfgangs and Paradisio....two of our faves!
