Does this plan look feasible for first timers?

Well, I've been as a teen but my dh and kids have never been. We're going on a "shortened" vacation and will extend longer in a couple of years before our youngest becomes an "adult" in Disney's eyes. Anyway...

Arrive Nov 13 - MGM Studios

Nov 14 Magic Kingdom

Nov 15 Epcot

Nov 16 Magic Kingdom

Nov 17 Animal Kingdom

My kids will be 14, 12, 10, and 7 when we go next fall, and we're planning on staying onsite at one of the AS resorts, 2 rooms with dining plan, feasible or no?

Thanks

Definately feasible if you go into it knowing that 1) you will not see everything and 2) if you come up with a plan ahead of time for your must-dos.

Your plan looks very do-able to me. We went fall 2006 for 7 nights/days. We did everything we wanted by the end of day 5. Day 6 was okay. But by day 7, we were disney'd out, exhausted, and ready for home. Our next trip will only be 5 days (hopefully weekdays as they seemed less crowded).

You might add the park hopper option. That way you can jump over to another park, especially if one of the parks is open later one of your evenings.

Have fun!

I think your plan looks fine. I'd pick up a Birnbaum book or a planning video and have everyone watch it so they have an idea what they definitely do or don't want to see.

Due to their ages, I'd say be prepared to seperate from the older kids so they can spend lots of time on the extreme rides. Everyone has a cell phone or walkie talkies so you can regroup - a must if you are going to seperate. Same park, but seperate rides. Not that I recommend it, but be prepared for the older kids to ask about it.

With the dining plan you are DEFINITELY going to have to do some planning with ADRS...think about buffets with the ages of your kids especially if they are good eaters.

I'd do a hopper so you can jump, but if you plan well you can stick to one park a day and you don't need the additional cost.

Hey we've gone for four days and hit every park almost everyday and saw all of the parades and night shows. It's busy, but as long as you have a good mind set that you're not going to run you can have a good time.

Your plan looks great my only suggestion is If you are feeling tired you may want to put Animal Kingdom in the middle. We usually complete the park in half a day with fast passes well planned out and spend the rest of the day at the hotel by the pool and find a fun place for dinner like Chef Mickey's or Ohana's. Dining at AK is not so great alot of counter services. We also like to do MK on the last day for that last disney moment. Have a great time
