Haven't decided between YC Standard or Concierge.

Does Standard have a day bed? a refrigerator? a coffee maker? Can you get one if not?

daybed - yes
refrig - yes, but it's full of mini bar stuff
coffee pot - no, but I've heard you can get one from housekeeping

We stayed at Yacht Club Concierge in August. No daybed, no refrigerator (mini bar is not refrigerated), no coffeemaker.

Refrigerators are available upon request at the standard rental rate (was $10 per day plus tax at that time). As Tar Heel said, coffeemakers are supposed to be available on request. We don't drink much coffee, so it wasn't an issue.

I always travel with a small insulated cooler (6 or 12 can capacity) and zip top bags to hold ice. I've been known to keep milk very cold for about 2 days! The bags keep the ice neat, and it can be used for beverages, as well.

Hope this helps!

We have stayed at the YC many times, and several times in a standard room. For the most part, the rooms all have a daybed, but there are several that don't. If you definitely want a daybed, request maximum bedding for your room when you make your reservations. This will be interpreted as sleeping for 5, and they will try to give you a room with a daybed.

As far as a refrigerator, the mini-bar has a refrigerator stocked with soda, juice, and small liquors. There is a high charge to use any of these items, and really no room to store any of your own items. There are also other snacks set up on one of the dressers, such as chips, candy, pez etc. that you may also purchase. If you want a refrigerator, you must call housekeeping to request one, and they will bring one to your room for a charge of $10 a night added to your room bill.

We have never had a coffee maker in the room. I never requested one, so I'm not sure about that one.

BTW, you will absolutely LOVE the YC!!!!!:boat:

If you get a room without a daybed...we did in a water view room..we were given a rollaway bed. It actually was more comfortable for sleeping for my 10 year old. It didn't bother me that it took up some space.

Most do, some don't. They try to save them for families of 5. If you have 5 in your party you will get one.
