Fonfinia, thank you very much for your support! I remember that the last time I was having problems dieting, you were very supportive, too. That is really nice of you!
I think it would work better to just go back to the old diet I was on, which involved counting carbs grams. This is totally different from the WW diet, so I don't know how well it would work to keep going to the WW meetings. I'll start a new thread on that when I get the chance.
I considered doing Points, but I don't think that would work, either. 25% of calories is only 100 grams of carbs, but because the Point count is reduced for fiber content, there can be as many as 10 grams of carbs in a food that aren't counted. For example, there are foods that are 0 Points that have 10 grams of carbs. A few servings of those, and I'd have too many carbs for the day. Also, because high-fat foods are "penalized" by being charged more Points, I'd end up with substantially less calories than I'm supposed to be eating. Plus, most foods are a combination of fats, carbs, and points, so it would be hard to know which foods to count towards my "Carb Points" and which to count towards my other Points.I was thinking... Why not try the WW points program. ...So if you know you can only eat 25% of your daily food from carbs then you can just eat that many points worth of carbs. For ex; Say you get 24 daily points. Then 6 points of that would be safe for you to eat as carbs. The rest of your points would be focused on proteins, etc....
