Does The Simpsons ride need a refurb?

WOW! That's pretty bad indeed! I guess they don't make paint the way they used to. :sad2:

It's not uncommon when there are Long Lines + Rowdy Guests = Paint Damage.

It happens everywhere, and is a shame. The paint crew probably knows about the Damage and will get to it as soon as they can. With the parks open until 10p, it limits the amount of time they can Get Work Done.

I've watched one of the Universal specials on the Travel Channel, and it showed where they crews touch up paint every night after the guests leave. I guess they need to send a crew over there tonight!

Thats looking pretty bad.Over 1 million riders in that amount of time, its going to happen..

Paint don'nt dry at night time tho.

I'm sure they'll get to it,when people donn't get paint on them at 10AM:lmao:

Actually you hit the nail on the head. They stopped adding lead to paint years ago and the lack of lead decreases durability. In addition they (the gov) is trying to get away from using oil based paints due to the fact that it uses oil and the cleaning agents are pretty nasty (paint thinners).

We noticed paint peeling at the Simpsons ride in California too.

It's almost rubbery and thick, I can totally see why people would monkey with it.
