Does the price of the cruise include any activities off the ship?

I'm trying to get an idea on what a cruise actually costs. I know there is a fixed cost for the cruise itself but how about thins off of the ship? Does it cost to go snorkeling or day trips on the islands.
If so how much extra would I need to have a good time? We are looking at the 7 day cruises. Thanks in advance for the help.

There are no activites off the ship that are included in the price, with the exception of Castaway Cay.
This dosn't mean you have to spend a lot when you get to port. Depending on the port, you can usually walk to a shopping area, grab a cab to a beach, do a DCL sponcered excursion, or book one yourself. (The DIS board is FULL of idea on ports, just read a few Trip reports, and ask questions!!)The possiblites are almost endless, from horseback riding, to historic tours (in a/c buses) to snorkel trips, deep sea fishing, shopping, ect.

At Castaway Cay, the beach, chairs, life jackets, tram ride and your lunch are all free (or included in the price of the cruise:p )

I hope this helps! If you have specific questions about a port, just ask...someone has been there and will answer your question!

I was waiting for that one BD!!!

There is one activity ashore included:

Walking.

It is available everywhere, and is good for your health if not done to excess.

Also,

BD reminds us of the importance of the "Preview Reply" button.
