Does the name on an ADR matter?

My DS is at WDW now. He made himself an ADR at Kona for Friday but mistakenly put his father down as the person to be dining...same last name, different first. ADR is only for 1 person and he will be using Dad's credit card anyway. Does it matter that he is not Dad? Or do you think Dad should try to call to switch ADR? I would hate to be the one to tell the 20 yr DS that he can't eat breakfast.

He will be fine, names on ADRs do not need to match the diner, he will just need to give his dad's name when he checks in, as that is what the reservation will be under.

It should be fine. Like PP said, he just needs to give the name on reservation to check in.

I have made ADRs on MDE in my name for my family when they were in WDW and I was at home in New Jersey. So yeah, no problem with whose name it is on the ADR.

It does not matter - just give them the name you reserved it in. I made several reservations in my husband's name and he did not go on the trip just last month. :)

This doesn't apply to OP, but the only problem I believe would be if it was a PPO breakfast, your name would have to be on it to get into the park!

It really does not matter as long as someone shows up. Its a lot like my daughter and my credit card. She has been signing my name for years when going out. She does it so much I am half expecting to get a question from Disney Visa someday when I sign something and it doesn't match their records.
