Does the marathon sell out?

I'm waffling on the WDW Marathon. I've got a room only reservation at POP, but wanted to wait until Thanksgiving to commit to all the non-refundable stuff.

I hadn't looked in a while and was surprised to see the marathon at 89% full today. Does the marathon sell out?

Someone mentioned a deadline to get your name on the bib. Is that November 1?

Yes, I believe it is November 1st, and yes, it does sell out. I think it's taking a lot longer this year. I don't know how close I would push it, but it's finally starting to get up there. Come and join us!

I don't think it sold out until very late last year but do think it finally sold out. I would keep an eye on the number and if you see it jump a full percent in a day take the plunge.

On that note, how do we get our names put on the bib?

I haven't done Disney, but when I did cleveland, all you needed to do was register by a certain date and they used the name you gave them when you registered for the bib.

the full sold out around Christmas last year if I remember correctly. If you register by nov. 1 2010 your name will automatically be put on your bib. it's nice to have people cheering for you by name!

It's at 92%, just FYI! Half marathon at 96%...
