Does the Lego Store at DD have "gift certificates"?

Strange question. But...we'll be at WDW for Christmas Day. I was thinking of giving my boys a "gift certificate" to the LEGo Store (gift from Santa) and then taking them there to pick out a special Lego. I know I can give them Disney Dollars to use, although I'm not 100% sure they'll accept them at LEGO. But, I really wanted them to each buy a "special" lego that they normally couldn't have ($50 or more). I planned to give them Disney Dollars too, but I thought a LEGO gift certificate would be really cute!

I would just make your own "Super Certificate" from Santa, good at the Lego Store in whatever amount you want, and give that to the boys to open for the present, you could even wrap it in a box. Then let them pick out what they want, and let the cashier know about what's going on (while they are looking) so that you can pay for it discreetly when the boys aren't looking. You can go to the Lego site to grab a bunch of pictures to put on your certificate or use some of the Disney ones available.

Yes, you're right. And, I may need to do that. It's just that they're both "on the verge" of not believing, and I really need to be careful. Thanks for your input, though!

I have always found all of the employees vey helpful and willing to go along with just about anything I have cooked up. Ask them to play along and I am sure they will. Have the boys hand over their "certificates" and ask the cashier to say something like,"Oh, yeah, Santa said we would be seeing some of these, he handed them out this year to some of his most special kids, you guys must have been super good! We have only seen a couple so far!"

Thanks! Of course, now to answer my own question...The LEGO Store does offer a gift cert. in the form of a gift card. This can be purchased at the LEGO Store or by phone with a credit card. I don't know if these are cards for specific amounts ($5,$10,$25, etc.) or whatever amount you want. Forgot to ask that.

Anyhow, looks like the kids will have an OFFICIAL LEGO Gift Certificte under their tree at the Dolphin!! Woo Hoo.

And, thanks for all of the advice on making one up. Really great ideas.
