Does the DVCMember site EVER work?

I am so frustrated for trying to get onto DVCMember.com! Today I was on hold for 20 minutes waiting to pay my dues, the whole time grumbling to myself because I couldn't do it on line. Then I held longer to get the tech people and make sure my pin was correct so I could register, but whenever I try to go to the good stuff, it says "page unavailable." Is this site frequently down? :confused3
 
I just tried the site and had no problem (11:08 am eastern time). I don't usually have any problems with the site - accessing that is. I do notice that for some functions it prefers using the MS Internet Explorer Browser as opposed to Firefox that I use normally.

Do you have firewall settings/security settings that are too high and won't let you access the site?
 
Thank you so much! That was just it - I was trying via Firefox. I am clueless and had no idea that could be the problem. I just registered! :)
 
A good web design should include features that the most popular browsers can use. I know IE is the most popular, but I like Firefox the most. From day one I can never get the countdown to work correctly. When I click on the down arrow to choose the day of the month, only 1 and 31 show with all the other blank. Funny how that works. Other than that I have been able to access everything else.
 

Can access all parts of this site apart from my account details - have phoned direct but still not working.
 
Just tried to pay my dues online. I had no trouble at all accessing the site, but several tries to pay just got me a "too busy/page not avalable, try later" message.

There are probably a lot of people trying to pay since the bills just arrived.

Interestingly, my full dues bill was available online. Previously, I had heard that people who originally bought resale would not be able to get their statements online, but that has apparently been corrected because both my resale and direct add-on were there.
 
I was able to pay my dues online also for our resale points. :sunny:
 
I was able to access this morning with firefox. Can not access now. Have tried disabling the firewall and using i.e.

I was able to access all account details this morning.

Has anybody been able to pay online using the disney rewards card and pay the balance with the disney visa card?

I think their system is bogged down. I haven't been able to get into the DVC Member site, nor the WDW AP area.

I didn't try to split an annual dues payment on-line between a CC and Disney Reward Dollars. It doesn't look like you can. I just called Member Accounting and did it that way.

It's the same 800#, just touch 1 for accounting.
 
Well, it was glitchy, but I got my dues paid online.

At first I couldn't even log in for several tries (after having no problems with that this morning). Then when I did login, I was unable to pay. Then I got the pay dues page, went all the way through the process, but the final screen with payment confirmation did not appear.

So I had to go all the way back through the entire login and pay process. FINALLY, I got confirmation.

Now...I just hope my credit card doesn't get charged twice! :crazy:
 
I've never had any problem getting on and I paid my dues over the wekend as well with no trouble.
 
I've never had any trouble getting on the website, but today it won't take my password. :confused3 I had paid my dues online over the weekend and just wanted to double check the balance on the website--I don't want any embarrassing surprises when we check in Jan. 22.

Numbers 2-30 are scheduled to be added during the next round of member site enhancements... :)
 
Just tryed and had no problem. My wife paid our dues the other day with no problems. :banana: :wizard: :banana:
 
Yesterday, the 9th we paid our dues on line, with no problems. Today I checked and sure enough our balance is $0!

So, it does sometimes work. I find the AP site much more frustrating!

The member site is feeling a little bit better today, but is still a little woozy from whatever it had a couple of days ago.

I had some problems navigating the site this evening as well, but nothing like I had yesterday. Tonight, when I tried to access my points and dues, it took me to another page which only offered general info about the points and dues. Later, I clicked the same link and got the info I needed.

I presume they are using the same web design skills which have made all of the Disney sites legends in their own minds. For as simplistic as most of their web info is, you'd think they could do a better job. I hope the same folks who design their website are not designing their rides! :scared1:

Eventually, I was able to find my points, and my dues, and was greatly relieved to find that my dues were not only paid...but they were only paid once! I was having some anxiety about that, because the site froze up right in the last step of the payment process, but it's apparently okay.

The new and improved member website will be a great step up when they get the tweaks out, so I guess we all need to be patient. They ARE moving in the right direction, even if they stumble a bit.
 
I just tried and I can't see my account stuff. It says can't access my account while they are doing maintenance. I have been trying to see my account all day long.... :confused3
 
I paid my dues late last night and at that time the site was behaving very well. No hiccups whatsoever. Logged in again today to verify my dues payment was applied and it was. Again, everything worked great! I think it probably helped that in both cases I was on the site at non-peak times.
